There isn’t a whole lot to say about this one, a run of the mill victory against a team that just isn’t up to standard, we never really left 2nd gear.

If I am being picky some of the defence in the middle was lazy at times but it was strong on the goal line when needed. The most pleasing this is, last year this would have been a 24-12 victory after clocking off but that wasn’t an issue this time.

Our impact off the bench this year is as good as I can remember. Napa and SST just roll up the sleeves and get stuck in. Only criticism of the team yesterday was a little bit weak in contact with our defence through the middle. Was only for a brief period so can't really be too annoyed.

3 points: Mitchell Pearce. Set up 4 of the 6 tries. Orchestrated things very well.

2 points: James Maloney. Was shaded by Pearce but I thought was the next best on ground.

1 point: Dylan Napa. Only Roosters forward to make over 100 metres with ball in hand. Played well with longer minutes due to a minor injury to JWH. Classic cover tackle on Edrick Lee in the second half sealed the nomination for mine.

I had RTS for 1 point at the ground, but watching the replay I think I have to give it to Napa.

RTS outstanding though as was Jennings. Toups' best game in a while too I reckon.
