This is a favourite of opposition fans - 'Woolford is a whinging so-and-so'. He is the captain of the team, he is allowed to voice his opinion to the ref. Same applied for Toovey when he was captain at Manly.

Personally I think Woolford sh*ts the lot of you because he plays with his heart on his sleeve, which is a rarity in today's game. Nothing wrong with having a bit of emotion rather than having 34 robots face off against each other week in week out.

Exactly the Raiders do it all the time. I remember when the Roosters played them last year and Fittler said it to harrigan during the game. The NRL should do something about it.

I won't comment on Woolford but I reckon Monty's one of the best captains in the game when it comes to dealing with the ref. Every time the team cops a borderline penalty and he has a chat to the ref about it he always keeps it professional and instead of just whinging makes sure that the ref explains the exact reason for the penalty to him, so that he can warn the players to be careful of those sort of infringements. He stands up to the refs without taking it to the point of constant whinging, which is a good thing.

The NRL should do something about it.

I would say the NRL has more pressing matters. The Coffs Harbour scandal, salary cap, the players' association, the 'grapple tackle'...
