I did watch it - about 5 or 6 times in slow motion, courtesy of Foxtel IQ. I can tell you unreservedly, that Matt King landed 4 clean shots to the head/face of Weyman. Weyman landed 1 clean punch after missing 3 in a roll (or they glanced off with barely an impact). He also shaped to land a forearm, but seemed to pull out of it. His last punch got King, but by then he'd well and truly been beaten. We were all sitting there on the couch, counting them land like we were ringside. Great stuff!
I reckon that's Kingy's first fight in his professional career, and if it is - he should be proud. Maybe he's the Storm's next enforcer...
Anyone who actually thinks Weyman got the better of King, is kidding themselves.

if he landed 4 "clean" shots on Weyman, then why is it that Mick only had a little scratch on his forehead? no bruising swelling or anything. Id go as far as saying that no-one landed a "clean" punch, but King was certainly headed in a backwards direction.

I havent seen SBW or O'Meley or any other front rower in the comp come from 20m away to start throwing windmills at a center.

He's a cat....maybe next time he'll have a go at another front rower.

'Hard man'...yeh, heard it the first time.

does it really matter who bloody won the thing?
Kingy got some neat shots in, as did mick, both got binned for their troubles and didnt seem to phase either of them

Was great for the crowd though, really gave some of the string alongs at the game that dont often get to games something to get fired up over... i had a pack of penrith fans with me and after the stink, they were as fired up for the game as i was

Weyman should cop 2 weeks for that effort too...not only did he get owned by a winger, he was 3rd man in and escalated something that didn't need to be. Not saying i agree with the rule, but it's consistancy. Matt Utai got a few weeks earlier in the year for the same thing, except Utai's wasn't as bad.

hmm just looked at the nrl.com site and Weyman is going to get off with an early guilty plea...what a joke.

Nothing worse than being at a game and following the play, then noticing half the crowd looking back downfield, only to see the tail end of a big stink....bastards NEVER replay it at the grounds.

Take a look at Utai's record with the judiciary before you whinge about the similarity of the charges.....Utai has been suspended a lot before, Weyman hasnt, that simple

edit: Utai did only get a grade 1 contrary conduct charge..

Still think Weyman's case was worse though

why was it worse?

I have a hazey memory of this so correct me if im wrong
If i recall correctly Utai ran in from roughly 10 metres away and threw the first punch.
Weyman came from roughly the same distance but only pushed, with Kingy throwing the first one.
