Rams, Chargers & Raiders apply for L.A. relocation

I actually have no issues with either the Raiders or Oakland...

I can understand the issue for both sides... The Raiders just aren't rich enough to fund a stadium due to the owners not being rich enough... And I certainly don't blame the, for wanting to leave the stadium as its a dump.

And the city of Oakland can't justify spending money on a stadium when they need to spend it other areas... I respect that...

If something can be worked out where the Raiders get a new stadium and stay in Oakland than that's the best news of all...

yeah pretty much the same deal with san diego
city didn't wanna pay which is fine

and the owners of the chargers are rich cos they are the owners of the chargers

it sucks for the st Louis fans. it sucks for san diego.

it just generally sucks

it's funny how st louis went all out to keep rams and oakland did f**k all yet oakland will get a funded stadium and st louis gets screwed sideways. why have rules when they are completely ignored?

.
Because Stan Kronkie is f**king rich... And he never wanted the Rams to stay in St Louis.

Mark Davis is f**king poor... And he ultimately wanted to keep the Raiders in Oakland.

I agree that it certainly isn't fair... It's f**king genius from Mark Davis...

But who knows... The Raiders may well end up in St Louis...

Surely some of that $550 mil they have to pay the NFL to relocate could go towards fixing Oakland's stadium or is that money tagged for something else? Can't say I've paid this situation a great amount of detail

well if they get two teams paying the money, that's a stadium

then Oakland gets its new digs. which im fine with. the Oakland raiders should be the Oakland raiders.

it just sucks that the chargers are moving from SD.

as for the Rams, they were LA for the longest time but have been St Louis for 20 years.

it would seem though that that was doomed from the get go cos the stadium was crap

I think the Raiders need a new stadium... Not to fix up the existing stadium.

If it was just our stadium then it would be okay to fix it... But we share it with the A's....

And we just can't continue playing in a baseball stadium... It's just embarrassing... And must be dangerous for players.

i went to that stadium 15 months ago and i was expecting some run down horror show the way the media went on about it. i walked in and it was great. looked like it had been built recently. clean from top to bottom, not a bad seat in the house. compared to the sfs or anz stadium it looks like a luxury stadium.

hmmm
I think the problem is, that it was built just before the new fandangled ones in Houston, dallas , Arizona etc

so it was less than those

I dunno

San Diegos was falling down.
So was oaklands.

but anyway Oakland keep the Raiders

Funny that the league would rather have 2 new stadiums in the Bay Area than have the 49ers and Raiders share...

So the Rams are definitely LA.
The Chargers have a year to work out a deal with the Rams, or stay in SD
Oakland can exercise an option to LA if the Chargers stay in San Diego

id say the SD/Rams deal is done quickly

Woww.
I get the Rams but I feel so sorry for Charger fans, San Diego loved that team, not that it's a done deal but it looks like it.
Have the Rams moved before?
I know Raiders did and Baltimore had the Colts for a while too.

The Rams started in Cleveland, then moved to Los Angeles and then on to St Louis.

And to be honest... This is a reprieve for San Diego as well as Oakland....

San Diego get 1 more chance to offer something serious for the Chargers.

The fact that Spanos has the leverage of LA now being his choice as opposed to a process means SD will have to play ball more than they ever have... So concessions will be made which previously were off the table.

Also if I'm St. Louis... It's not a given that Oakland will have the Raiders... If St.Louis or San Antonio offer a stadium deal for the Raiders I wouldn't be surprised if they jumped at it.

San Antonio is an interesting one... Previously it was believed Jerry Jones would have blocked any attempt to relocate in to Texas.... But the word that came out of the meetings was that Jones pushed hard to block the Raiders from LA... Which means he would then find it almost impossible after doing that deny them moving to San Antonio...

i think the most galling thing for st louis was that the nfl made them jump through all those hoops, changed the finish line on them time and time again after they met the original conditions, while they never had a chance to begin with. why waste their time and money? there's nothing worse than being made to feel like a fool.

i hope in future when cities face billionaires crying poor they tell them to f**k off. want to leave, f**k off. if only. follow the oakland and san diego path, do nothing and get rewarded.

i acknowledge this is not what happened to st louis. kroenke wanted to go to lala land and nothing was going to stop him. he put forward one hell of a proposal and good luck to him. it's the best thing that can happen to the rams. money wise, FA wise, refereeing decisions wise. it's all good for the rams now that they're in the nfl's good books, taking a team back to LA. it just sucks for st louis.

Yeah I'm know what you mean... I felt the same with the Raiders.

You know for the franchise the best thing to do is to move to LA... But you feel for the fans in St.Louis/Oakland/San Diego who stuck loyal to the team.

In Oaklands case I really felt for our fans... As they supported the team even though we have been by far the worst team in the league for almost a decade... And now finally it's starting to look like we will turn things around the team wants to leave.

I'm really happy that it looks like we will stay in Oakland... I just hope the franchise gets looked after here that's all...

I get the feeling that St.Louis fans will have an even bigger hatred for the Patriots... Considering that Kraft was one of Kronkies biggest supporters relocating them.

I really hope not. I don't really want to go for a Texas based team. They would all be Cowboys fans there, yeah?

The Cowboys own San Antonio, so a move there by the Raiders would be interesting.
