My theory is "The Best Player" in SBW was town.... correct me if I'm wrong, but Pierce earlier in the game was labelled as the worst player... I see it as The worst player is independant of the rest, and wants to Prove himself...

Endgame​

"It's Mitchell Pearce," shouted Troy McClure, "You might remember him from such capitulations as the 2012 and 2013 State of Origin series".

"Yeah," agreed the plate of chicken with the stone tied to it.

"Yea, and I also agree verily," nodded Jesus.

The avalanche was complete, and they tossed a rope around Mitchell Pearce's neck.

But before Jesus could complete the last rites, a number of strangers burst into their midst. Names like Laurie Daley, Wayne Pearce, Trent Robinson, and Gus Gould.

"How dare you talk about him like that?" said the big nosed NSW coach, "Mitchell Pearce is the heir apparent. We'll not hear your slander any more!"

They tore Troy McClure limb from limb.

Monk is dead. He was Troy McClure, Town Aligned Famous Actor Who Sleeps with Fish.

The survivors were confused. What had just happened?

Pearce's boyish face began to change as his grin grew impossibly large. Horns sprouted from his too big forehead, parting his stupid messy black hair.

"Fools!" he shouted as he grew in size and stature, "I have accounted for five of your souls now. Bow before me, for I am Pierceablo, the new Lord of Destruction!"

One by one they bowed. What new hell had they unleashed on Tristram and the world at large?

- Food Poisoning: A dodgy bit of late night bird has its risks. Each time you target somebody (or you are targeted) there is a 20% chance you’ll give them food poisoning. They can’t act that night at all and will be too busy vomiting tomorrow to vote.

You win when all threats to the town are eliminated.

4. You’re Mitchell Pearce, Independently Aligned Protected Species.

You’re a f**king awful footballer, but for some reason nobody in a position of power seems to see it. It doesn’t seem to matter how badly you play – you’re always selected the very next week.

• Protected: You can’t die. Any time you’re targeted to be killed, you make a frustrating blunder and somebody else (randomly) dies instead. You can still be lynched, but an angry mob of idiot coaches will also lynch the person who started the lynch train.

You win if you are the sole survivor or if you are responsible for five deaths during the game. You earn responsibility if a kill directed at you kills somebody, you start or finish a lynch (first or last vote), or if somebody dies for lynching you.

2. You are Stanley Ipkiss, Town Aligned Wearer of the Mask.

You found Loki’s mask and your life has never been the same again. You suddenly learned how to dance and stand up for yourself, plus you got balls deep (repeatedly, I’d imagine) in a younger, hotter Cameron Diaz. Bully for you.

• Mask: The first time you are killed or lynched, you lose the mask but survive. If you lose the mask, you lose your powers.
• Mild Mannered: If investigated, you will show up as vanilla even if you still have the mask.
• Accountant: You know numbers. Twice during the day you can call a census.
• Havoc: Each night you may choose to don the mask and reek some havoc. Select two players (other than yourself). You may reassign their actions for the night. If investigated on a night where you use this power, you will show up as independently aligned.
• Lose Control: Each time you use your Havoc power, there’s a chance Loki will take over. If this happens, your role will change.

You might not have a license to practice medicine, but you’ve got a TARDIS, a sonic screw-driver, a bangable companion, and more witticisms than the average American sitcom.

- Time Lord: Once during the game you may choose to cancel out the last night or day phase. All actions from that night (including deaths) are undone and the phase starts anew. You must be alive to do this.
- Sonic Screwdriver: You can use this fantastic device to escape many a dangerous situation. Any time you are targeted to be killed, there’s a 50% chance you not only escape – but trap them in a compromising position.
- Companion: Billie Piper is all kinds of hot and she dotes after you. You may send her out each night to seduce some lucky bastard. You get off on watching, but you also learn the identity of the person she’s knocking boots with.

You win when all threats to the town are eliminated.
