Robbie is another who be ‘long of snout’ I’m afraid.

If we are really serious about a footy gm, we recruit one from a top 4 club.

Timbo came from the esteemed college of the sacred snouted old boys and look at the disaster which is still unfolding!

All these self styled rolled gold legendary, heroes, they are screwing the club hard at the moment.

I say we need fresh meat for the grinder. New and not contaminated by the society of flatulent hands in pocket mates.

Exhibit A Fulton. Outsider allrighter.

If we want the best club, we have to reach out and drag in the top talent in officialdom.

If we do that, we will emerge properly. It might take us longer to repair the damage, but we will get there. Our dead and festering hand will push through the grass and wriggle. I guarantee it.

That’s as important as players (Jack Gibson).

And happily, let’s say the club is now toying with the idea at least.
We are talking about the GM of the footy department, I would like someone who at least gives a f**k about the club, I think Robbie ticks that box, but if he was to get the role, time will tell?

You mentioned in an earlier post, that you thought he was too abrasive for the role, I think that’s probably a good thing to have in this role, he’d be talking to the footy heads not the players and “shock horror” demanding better.

I don’t think Robbie is cut out to be a gm myself.

Personality can be too abrasive, where’s his years in admin and management? Any educational background?

Once again our star ex players think the kingdom is theirs and the milking of funds is on, instead of finding other ways to contribute.

If his performance as assistant assistant coach this season is anything to go on, anything above car park attendant looks ambitious.

If he wants to show he is anything, he can try to bring back Rowdy to the fold.

Every day the current coaching regime in charge is becoming more isolated. As days go by without any prospect of a win, further estrangement will ensue -as people don’t want to be associated with them.

It’s the kiss of death to be in our coaching ranks. I’m surprised Dave is hanging on by a thread. He should leave before spooning.
his years in admin and management? - he has run a very successful business,
educational background ? has a bachelor degree,
Besides this is old news and was reported some months back or even when he returned to the current role.

I'm sure that I read previously that besides his brother running Souths physio department, his other siblings are also degree qualified. He is no dill.

All fair comments lads.

I put my views up and see what happens.

I think as assistant assistant, robs message hasn’t hit the high notes we would like.

His qualifications don’t impress me for the role.

Im ok if his does an apprenticeship and gets some appropriate management experience and education.

His role models and club influences concern me too.

And at the end of the day, I’d prefer a gm who is doing a good job now. Tested in real time.

No snout.

It won’t last forever, but a fresh outsider, Fulton is kicking goals.

And I think Pascoe nailed that one. I suppose by the law of averages, he had to make a good decision sooner or later.

Given the number of Eels juniors recruited over the last few years, the Tigers should sign one of their own back . Yes , Mark ONeil is a HOF , we would be devastated to lose him, but we are prepared to help :)

All that “buying back the farm” and the “snout”model of personnel recruitment has brought us is spoons, underperforming players and a civil war.

It all started over the Madge panic and the stupid idea to bring Tim back in any role.

I’m not having a go at Tim personally and I’m sure he has tried his best, all good intent to bring him back….but his program has been catastrophic.

We either tough it out or go our seperate ways.

At the very least, shove him in an office with a grand title and give him the opportunity to speak to the press occasionally. So long as he’s not making any meaningful decisions.

And that achieved, we can then focus on decontamination of his influence across all areas including staff. Drain the swamp.

My suggested program is really just an extension of filling the joint up with new blood and fresh thinking. Things we desperately need with the spoon wedged firm and real deal heroes like Rowdy rushing to the exit.

I don’t think it will happen.

Hell will freeze over before Tim takes orders from Robbie.

Robbie is Benjis assistant. Many rungs down.
We are coming dead last, no one is doing this Job atm, Tim can go f**k himself (do you really think he has any sway left?) and Benji will need to concentrate on coaching, it’s not a certainty but who knows?

Lee and Justin, that’s who……:)

“Tim has no sway left” is a very astute observation and I fear I have been bettered in this instance.

I will have to reset my compass and take this into account in further remarks.

My plan B is that I want Tim returned to a desk in order to prevent any further interaction with players.

Where does Tim go from here I wonder with the whole club sniggering at him behind his back?

We don’t even trust him enough to consult him on recruitment and he’s supposed to be coaching next year and training GTA.

He’s lost the support of the board and if the rumours are true, only a small handful of players are with the program.

Pascoe clinging to the boards orders even at the expense of intimate managerial relationships with coaching staff. Not even a call about Fulton on the sly. A total “ f-u” after months of sickening mutual public admiration.

Tim has no sway left? Indeed.

His position appears entirely untenable as coach with little support where it matters.

Im calling his innings over after this season.

Robbie and Benji are learning from the master. Tim dragged Scott Prince down to Tiger Town to Captain Coach us to our first premiership and not only did Tim manage to parlay that into another seven years at the helm, he managed to get invited back to suckle at the teat again.

This is despite suing the club after he was punted last time and despite his tenure as coach including a four year finals drought, wrecking the cap and the roster for Potter as well as squandering the prime years of Benji and Robbie's playing careers.

My plan would be to tell Tim, either f**k off or mow the grass. He has failed miserably and once again, has shown he isn’t up to the job.

He’s the biggest blooper this club has made and they’ve made quite a few?

Is this the moment Wests Tigers halves dramas are resolved?

At about 11am on Thursday, Jayden Sullivan, with his family and agent in tow, took a tour of the Wests Tigers’ centre of excellence. Sullivan is contracted to the Dragons until the end of 2025, but has been given permission to speak to rival clubs.

That process began with a not-so-secret meeting at the Tigers’ headquarters at Concord.
Sullivan toured the facilities and met with Tigers powerbrokers as he pondered swapping one struggling joint-venture outfit for another. He met with Tigers CEO Justin Pascoe, chairman Lee Hagipantelis and recruiter Scott Fulton. Coach Tim Sheens and his successor, Benji Marshall, preparing the team for Friday’s clash with South Sydney in Tamworth, weren’t able to meet Sullivan personally.

However, Marshall gave his pitch via Zoom during Sullivan’s 90-minute tour of the facilities. A formal offer is expected to be tabled next week.
“It was a very positive meeting,” said Sullivan’s manager, Mario Tartak.

“Jayden’s excited about exploring his options and the Tigers made a good impression. He was blown away with their centre of excellence.”
Both parties are at a crossroads. As late as last week, until promising Manly playmaker Latu Fainu signed, the Tigers didn’t have a single playmaker on their books for 2024. Luke Brooks is heading to the Sea Eagles, Brandon Wakeham remains unsigned, Daine Laurie is returning to Penrith, Adam Doueihi remains sidelined with a serious knee injury and the interest in Brodie Croft has cooled.

While Aidan Sezer, still playing in England at the age of 32, remains an option, it appears to be one of the stop-gap variety. Which is why Sullivan was getting the grand tour on a sunny Thursday morning.
Sullivan has almost certainly played his last game for the Red V. A hamstring issue has ended his season, the latest in a string of injury dramas that have limited the Wests Illawarra junior to just 27 games. The 21-year-old has shown glimpses of his potential during those appearances, although incoming Dragons coach Shane Flanagan is prepared to cut him loose.

No Tim in on the recruitment meeting says it all.

Benji by zoom, ffs, I would have turned the sound down and pretended his mic didn’t work.

Sullivan is factory but I’ve seen worse.

Hope they offered him some of @macnaz s king prawns. Plenty of snouting and bleeding our club dry would be my sales pitch and that’s just for his manager.

Promise the world, think about delivering later.

If he comes, just gotta hope he delivers. As we know, 7’s are hard to find.

Though he did have glimpses when he played us the first time.
