Good thread.

On this year's form only:

1 Slater (Storm)
2 Barba (Bulldogs)
3 Inglis (Rabbitohs)
4 Hoffman (Broncos)
5 Bowen (Cowboys)
6 Minichello (Roosters)
7 Morris (Dragons)
8 Locke (Warriors)
9 Stewart (Sea Eagles)
10 Gardner (Sharks)
11 Zillman (Titans)
12 Coote (Panthers)
13 Hayne (Eels)
14 Dugan (Raiders)
15 Moltzen (Tigers)
16 Boyd (Knights)
This is about how I would go. You can only really rate them on current form and that list is pretty spot on.

I agree with this list too. Barba/Inglis maybe sharing 2 & 3

Cheers guys. It's hard when you have to rank them 1-16. I'd probably have Inglis and Barba = 3rd, and the last four = 16th. Probably a bit hard on Hayne too, he's been good in a losing team.

Gotta remember there is more to a fullbacks game than the flashy attacking games and that is where a lot of these lists seem to be based, the defensive side of the game is just as important, and we have seen some amazing try savers in the last few weeks, Stewart, Bowen and even Barba pulling some of those off

Barba has been doing them all year.

You're getting Beale aren't you? Will he push Morris back to the wing?

If you want to begin World War Three, pop over to the Dragons Forum and ask that question. Seriously, I don't know. I reckon he might play right centre for us.

I reckon Beale might end up playing right centre for us if B. Moz keeps going well at fullback. Gerard is pretty versatile, but Morris hasn't done too much wrong in the 1 jersey so far. Hopefully Vidot will be out of the side by the time Beale arrives!

I think Hoffman is too high. He's a touch overrated IMO.

Zillman at 11 is ridiculous. So he made a linebreak last week, first one I've seen since he left Canberra.

I also don't see how Hayne is so low. His form is good, it is not indicative of how rubbish the Eels are.

Beale is ordinary when not playing at the back. Morris would make a better centre.

Of course we'll hear the old "I've got to earn my spot" etc. but Beale did not sign with you guys to play anywhere except fullback.
