Gaz was probably close to, if not the most gifted centre ive seen but far from the best.

He just couldnt put it together consistently for a long enough period of time

i intentionally left Wiki out because i thought i might be a tad biased. Gaz was probably a better centre than him, but he'd be one of many on the cusp for me.

Croker? Jason was handy there in a pinch but not better than Gaz, Jared has talent but isnt in the conversation yet

He was good but he could have been great. Like people already mentioned, injury troubles and bad career decisions ruined what could have been an amazing career.
Still got a premiership at least.

Lyon and Hodges in particular will be remembered as the class centres of the past 10 years.

Melon used to call him The Lord of Oh Gawd ... i used to love his flick passes to seat 12 row S back in the day. He was terrible.

Best centres ive seen in no particular order are mostly Qlders ... Miles, Meninga, Renouf, Hodges. Gasnier would be as good as Hodges over his entire career but nowhere near Meninga and Renouf.
