I dont know what the deal is with the contract nego. and sully, while he wasnt listed, it could be a positive to how far they are along with nego.

I would've thought his manager would be out and about telling everyone anyway.

On Bird, to put it into context . . .

Daley asked Raper if 5/8th was a position we were looking at recruiting for.

Raper's reply was that we had done alot of chopping and changing with the position and that they were in that position because of Bird's suspension. He then went on to say that he didn't want to be one dimesional and have all the play going trough Noddy etc. . . then he said that we have Aitken on the way up but he was still a little green.

I guess you could look at that as Bird being in the bad books. We'll find out for sure in a few weeks.

One thing I would like to add is that the team has played better footy since Bird was suspended but I don't think it had much to do with Bird. Our forwards have just improved. Plus Sully's impact has become a game turner.

With the exception of Dallalana, everyone on the list above has played first grade this season. It could easily have just been listing the first graders off contract. Who cares if Wessell is off contract?
