I'd probably agree it's a nit picking penalty but it's needed after years of storm and Roosters bullshit messing the ruck and giving deliberate penalties all to help their defence which is why we also have the set restart.

Play sorro in the middle to accomodate some minutes for hasset if we have to. We are dead last it’s time to be a little forward thinking with our selections and see who we have that can actually step up one day not just be back up players.

In most seasons the make up of last night's team would be reasonable. Balanced between experienced guys who will give us the best chance at points, with some younger guys sprinkled in. The problem is our premiership winning superstars have dropped the ball so many times that we're teetering on the edge of being desperate for a result and it being irrelevant for all the wrong reasons. 2026 is definitely looking like the time for a clean out of both grades, but for 2025 the having experienced guys like Laurie and Huth in the mix makes sense for this period.

Schneider is the exception. He sucks and that should have been obvious before now.

We should also let Lindsay smith go. He’s going backwards he’s not worth rep money. Hes barely runs straight anymore.

He needs to simplify his game. It looks like hes trying too hard to be Yeo and he just doesn't have the knack for it. Just go back to being a tough middle who tackles and runs hard and (this is the big one) is disciplined with and without the ball. We need another (in addition to Leota) middle dropping the ball and giving away stupid penalties like we need a hole in the head.

We need 9 wins at least from the last 13. We have Dogs twice, Storm, Warriors and Raiders once. I don’t doubt we take one or two of those games because the side can get up for those. We have to beat all the shit sides though and those I can’t see happening. Either way we need to go for the two Eels games post Origins and we need to put players in to win and build for next year rather than to not lose.

McLean, Cole, Sommerton/Scott, Philips, Lipowicz need games. Let Sorenson go and all the others off contract and get someone in who is a swing for the fences.

It's a shame what's been done with Cole. He has shown some halfback qualities when he's had to fill in at the position.

I think Cole being chopped and changed constantly is hurting his development unless he is being specifically groomed to be a 'super sub'.

Kenny & Leota need to be dropped and looks to be shopped around - there's not alot of leadership there and cup guys coming in have more impact then them

Huth, Riki need to be moved on as well - very uninspiring blokes that are not stepping when they get FG chances

Henry & Smith id still keep - more upside, just need to get their shit together and start dominating

Patea should be given a start this origin period - i think he can handle a start
