Yeah I did, because unlike the majority on here, I watch both sides of the game and defence has been outstanding.

Last year I thought he would tend to drift a bit too much, he’d make his tackles, but I wouldn’t say he was still a lose.

This year he’s much tighter and is hitting like a truck, with the same tackle effectiveness. I really like his contact.

I could care less what he does in attack, that’s not his role.

You think Lindsay hits like a truck? That cast serious doubt over your claim to be watching both sides of the game.

Please reveal who told you he almost made the team for game 1 mate, im very interested in your inside knowledge of NSW Blues selections.

Just cause Tago is bad doesnt mean others cant be on that side also. But the big genius you are saying proved its not Tagos fault last year has absolutely said earlier this year tago's defence was not up to scratch, he has been bad defensively this year mate, how is that even up for debate right now? its just completely ridiculous imo. Yeah he is getting better since being dropped to the bench, that doesnt mean he is good, not even close.

Marto has missed the 3rd most tackles of any player in the comp in 2025.... almost 4.5 per game....

Nath has had half a dozen shocking reads that have lead directly to tries this year.

Tago for all his hate is only missing about 0.7 more tackles a game then critta who is in the top of the table defensive juggernaut dogs...

Yes he needs to be better... but people want yo lay the boot into a 22yo when the captain... nsw and aus hb and nsw and aus 2nd rower... both with a lot of experience have been poor in defence

If funny when NAth shoots out line or gets beat by an attacker we blame him exlusively yeah? its his fault.

Tago gets beat the exact same way and we have posters in here blaming the defenders around him saying its not tagos fault.

If you shoot out cos you dont have the numbers yep im ok with that...

If you shoot up for no reason or you are lazy getting across then yep blame is on you..

Im not trying to defend tago lol..

People think i defend him all the time. Ive saud probably 10 times this year he needs to be better...

But how some people completely miss or chose to not see or wont blame blokes inside is laughable.

The WHOLE right side needs to sort it out.

I can cop misses on the left..blaize and casey are rookies.

Biz, tago, nath and marto should be elite and the 4 of them have ALL had some shockers this year.

Marto shoots out a lot makes half contact and its still effective. How many of those missed tackles from Marto and from when he chases a kick and then chases the kick returner across half the back field and gets a hand on them, he'd get two missed tackles a game from those efforts alone. Anyone who know RL know just looking at missed tackles stats in isolation tells you nothing.

Ive bagged just about everyone mate this isnt about Tago only, i have also credited him for improving. Ive said Yeo is down of form, called for us to consider getting rid of Martin or Moses if they dont improve by next season.

You guys dont need to protect players from our criticism, you are not their parents and the players dont even know we exist.

Correct me if I am wrong but Lindsay was defending at right edge when theat happened? so he was on Tagos side.

And Nathan, again correct me if i am wrong, he defends next tago right?

Mam almost exlusively attacks down his left no? which would be our right therefore tagos side?

Tell me how those tries werent scored down tagos side?

If your blaming tago for those tries i suggest you watch the tape again haha. Yeo was next to nath for one of them and missed maam. Guess thats his fault too haha.

Didnt i say in that comment not every try down that side is his fault? did you miss that.

Im just pointing out that using tries scored down his side to defend his defence is stupid.

So you dont think Tago has ever shot out and got beat straight up like Nathan did? Tago has been doing that regularly since last year, not just because he had no choice, its because he makes bad choices regularly.

Im not trying to protect anyone but the reality is tago copes 95% of the blame for tries on the right.

When in reality just from watching basically the whole right for most of the year shouldve been better and thryve all had their moments.

Nath, marto are very experienced and imo thry should be doing better..

The 4 of them need to short it out asap if we want to go on any sort of run.

Bizza jamming in for that try when tago clwarly had him covered on the weekend was just another example.

They are all good defenders one on one and they csn do it. Theyve shown that. But at times they all look on a different page.

No ones up to scratch defenisvely this year im not saying Martin and Cleary couldnt be better, of course they could be. But there is levels to in, by far the biggest issue on that side has been tago. Yes Martin, Cleary and Bizza need to be better but Tago has been the biggest issue for a while now.

Mam scored those tries down Tagos side mate, no one is saying every try down that side is his fault but if you cant admit tago is a bad defender then you are just biased moron.
How did he go on the left side before he was quickly changed to the right? Only difference was the players inside him!

Too much criticism of an individual when the effect of making poor decisions was predominantly on his inside.

As good as Nathan and Marto have been, they also have some glaring errors in defence which never seems to be scrutinised.

Ive never once tried to defend his defence by putting down others. He has had lots of poor reads etc..

Ive said the last 18 months that whole right side needs to be better...

I think ive wrote it probably 100 times in here.. nsthan and marto dont cop 1/10th of the blame he does when in reality their d and decision making hasnt exactly been good to put it kindkly.

I could be wrong but he was defending on the right for quite a while before his defence became a noticeable issue last season. He was on the right for a lot of 2023 was he not?

If tago was getting stood up by his opposition centre every week i would agree. He rarely gets beat one on one. We were running bottom of the table for parts of the year... dogs at the top and on terms of mises his not far off the best defensive centre in the game stats wise..

The fact he is making bad reads... well they all are says that the right just isnt im sync again.

Ivan really should have that right side down like a fortress these days but every year this comes up and they seem to get it together cone rd 22ish..

Not sure why the 4 of them cant sort it out.

No they switched centres to protect someone with a crook shoulder during the semi's.

He has since stayed there.

There have been people here saying that literally every try scored down the right is Tagos fault, irrespective of how it happened or what led up to it. If Nath or Martin make mistakes its on Tago because "they dont trust him" or some bullshit. I think hes been poor at times (good at others) but its impossible to do anything but defend him when the take is that ridiculous.

Try one... 3 on 3. Lindsay smith caught at 2nd row. Mam popped him. If tago came in earlier mam puts the centre away.

Try two... nowhere near tago. Nath missed him on one one.

Try 3... nath shot out of the line and completely missed walsh which maam scored off...

Nath missed two shockers...

None to do with tago..

Your a smart poster and read the game well but cmon haha.

So you are going to gloss over the social media personality you used as an argument to authority has also said tago has been bad?
