So you are going to gloss over the social media personality you used as an argument to authority has also said tago has been bad?

Where am i glossing over anything haha... ive said so many times tago has been poor this year..

Im not even sure its the same person betcats is talking about. I dont have instagram. The thing i saw was on youtube and was a good breskdown of our issues last year.

You clearly are missing the point im making haha

Ivan moved bizza around sides too..

He has tinkered with stuff alot..

Agree and i dont think it helps. At least not this year, our edges have been bad and left centre at least has been changed quite a lot. Some of it has been injury i get that, but i just dont see how tinkering with left centre has helped? Especially with Talagi or cole on that side and Sorro missing a lot of games so the left edge has also been changed a lot.

We need to build combos again imo.

The usual crew argued till blue in the face that Tago's defence wasn't a problem and then went silent when Ivan finally dropped him. They then ignored his improvement after having his arse kicked

Yeah I did, because unlike the majority on here, I watch both sides of the game and defence has been outstanding.

Last year I thought he would tend to drift a bit too much, he’d make his tackles, but I wouldn’t say he was still a lose.

This year he’s much tighter and is hitting like a truck, with the same tackle effectiveness. I really like his contact.

I could care less what he does in attack, that’s not his role.

This is just insulting for no reason. Did you miss the comments praising his defence?

Tago has a talent ceiling far higher than most and needs to be judged accordingly.

He's seems to be on the right path now

Anyway, I expeect Ivan will pick and stick with Casey and Tago moving forward. alamoti situation makes that fairly clear that they are Ivans centres now and in the short term future.

Alamoti played wing this weekend, David Fale and Sam Lane kept him out of the centres in cup which is interesting. Lane is a centre only but Fale has been picked on the wing as much as the centres, not moving him for Alamoti says something, either Alamoti is really on the nose or Ivan just sees him as winger moving forward which is clear shift. Alamoti played centre in round 1 and round 2. He started at centre for the finals series last year including the GF.

People are far too all or nothing. Criticism doesn't mean a player isn't good it often means they're actually great but not hitting their potential and it also doesn't mean every issue ever with the team is a single players fault.

Also also people gotta stop ignoring half the comments to make their arguments.

Call me silly but i dont think dropping a bloke to the bench for 30mins fixes 18 months worth of supposed terrible defence and supposedly not getting the structures right....

When blokes get dropped for that stuff they go back to cup for 6-12 weeks... not half a game.. they relearn. They practice in cup till they get it right.

But do you really think he was going to drop his son or marto for the same issues haha???? Tago was a scapegoat in a way for the whole right side.

I dont think ivan wouldve "kicked" tagos arse once haha. Hes 22yo... i bet he has had aome firm conversations with that whole right side.

The fact he was bought straight back in actually says to me how much confidence ivan has in him...

If he had lost all faith hed still be in cup.

Interesting. His faith in Casey must be there now. He did pass in the weekend and made some pretty good defensive plays. Casey's development seems to be coming along quickly.

You think Lindsay hits like a truck? That cast serious doubt over your claim to be watching both sides of the game.

Please reveal who told you he almost made the team for game 1 mate, im very interested in your inside knowledge of NSW Blues selections.
Oh wow, Betcats you don’t come across as being very nice, why ask like that? Why call me delusional?

Anyway, if you must know,

I never said I had inside knowledge of blues selection, stop being so dramatic, I do know that our clubs medical team were asked about the health of all the potential NSW selections. He was one of the 6 they asked about.

Im sorry how can you with a straight face say Lindsay hits like a truck. He is a good defender but his tackling technique is more like if you hang a sheet on the washing line and then boot a ball into it. Delusion is the nicest explanation i can come up with for saying that.

Because I look at the contact and see how opposition respond to it. It’s not often they get quick play the balls, when he’s making front on tackles, because he hits hard and usually gets them onto their back.

Hitting like a truck, for me, is probably more about technique than anything. Watch the opposition, they always look zapped after he’s hit them.

It does if its a simple motivation issue which seems likely after his pec injury. You guys are discounting human nature. I've got a guy I work with who's better than me at certain aspects of the job but we just can't get his mind into it so he underperforms

The usual crew were arguing that the whole edge was the issue and singling out Tago wasn’t fair. They all needed to improve, which they have.

Just some crazy coincidence he improved after getting dropped? Because he 100% upped his intensity.
He's definitely doing better now than he was
