That was such a Penrith win. Relentless, tough contact from minute 1 to 80. They were getting steadily ground into the dirt. You could feel the desperation coming off them in the last 20 as they resorted to trick shots and offloads every other play. They want to be us, but when the chips are down they're not quite there yet, irrespective of the ladder position
Shout out to our edges. Both backrow/half/centre combinations were rock solid defensively, despite coming up against some of the best in the comp. In moments where they threatened there was always multiple black jumpers there within moments. Considering how frail our edges looked just a couple of months ago its an incredible 180.
These past two weeks were exactly what we needed going into a final bye. Outgrinding a competition heavyweight who didnt roll over for us will put an enormous amount of confidence amongst the squad. They know the dynasty is not dead. They know this comp is theirs if they want it.
