re: Luron - he's the one to keep long term - may not have the impact hitups like spencer- but has a great offload and seems to change momentum our way - already defensively better than spencer as well IMO

one that will shine in this team for years to come

There are some interest questions ive been thinking about lately with some of our young guys stepping up. Of course recency bias is a thing, but i think that is somewhat offset by the multiple premiership shine some of the guys have in our minds. That being said, how do you think the following players compare at the same age.

I went out last night so couldn’t watch the game live but after seeing the replay this morning I thought that is our best 80 min performance since last years GF. The intensity of that game was like Origin and it’s hard to believe it’s the same team that was so painful to watch a couple of months ago. Guys like Talagi, Tago and Maclean looked great and Jenko just keeps getting better each game. It’s just so good we look like we are back!!!

Just watched the replay- I loved Casey chirping at Critta. If he was intimidated by one of the hardest assignments he has had in first grade you couldn’t tell. Tough as nails. Excited to see what the future brings for him.

Ha ha, funny you mention that. My Mrs was a bit taken aback last night. She asked why Stephen is being a prick. I just laughed and told her she just never noticed before, that how he plays. He will never get a hate boner from me though, too much credit in the bank.

Marto gets away with it re the hate because he is so fun to watch when he does it. Everyone can appreciate a nutter to some degree even if they play for the wrong team. Marto also can have a laugh at himself, he gave it to Tino in Origin 2, but he copped it pretty sweet when Tino gave it back.

I think there was a deliberate plan to get under McCleans skin which backfired. There were a few other players getting into him as well.
