Ain't bothering watching 34 minutes of crap but what's he mean Yeo was innocent.

Is that a new rule? If your downtown but innocent it's not a penalty?

Said what i said the other day mate, Yeo played the ball and then is just a passive player, he only moves to get out of the way and make sure he doesnt impact the play, ball never touches him, he doesnt block or impede anyone and he is never a kick chaser, he moves forward out of the way of the ball then actually starts moving backwards away from the ball after it goes past him, very different from a downtown situation according to him.

FTR he did say the parra challenge on the knock on call should've been a penalty to you guys so wasnt totally vindacting the refs. I didnt watch the rest so not sure if he addresses the Lua calls. Anyway ill leave you gents to disagree with me and the great annesley!

Like I said rules don't mention anything about players being passive or getting out of the way.

If it happened on the halfway line it's a penalty. Just the NRL I guess and their making it up on the spot..

Did he mention May jumping and distracting Russell on the bomb?

It hasn’t been a great start to season for video refs. They appear to be very fixated on whatever is being questioned at the time but not looking at the overall picture. It almost better having no video ref

They don’t need to. If a referee interprets a rule in a way that doesn’t make sense or a coach finds a loophole in a rule as written, the NRL clarifies how it will be interpreted going forward, without rewriting the rule.

Chasers being the only wording in that rule that can be interpreted differently. Which I am happy with but don't blow a penalty on the half way line when you have a guy walk past the play the ball before the balls kicks as he clearly isn't chasing...
