Glad cole is in, hope he can get some minutes and play well. I think he could be the best utility we have given time. Most of the good utility guys are just halves who didnt make as starters so they adapt to fill whatever role they can.
Normally Ivan enjoys not using his 14 but Brad Schneider is pretty bad. Hopefully he pulls the trigger quickly if hes sucking and get Cole straight on.

He is pretty obsessed with having a half on the bench this year. At least cole has played some centre and now FB at the cup level. Brad HB everytime in cup and 99 percent of his NRL minutes.

tbh if not cole and assuming the top 17 stays as is barring injury i think Alamoti has to be on the bench for the finals. I know he isnt a utility but how can we leave him out? He is an NRL player for sure, can slot him in centre, wing and probably FB if Dyl got injured during a game.

Yeah disagree.

He made an insane amount of tackles and had the best line speed of anyone yeo included.

Madge worked out how to win with him last year and it worked well..

He wasnt the issue this year..yo many plods like stefano and latrell..

The fact you honestly think he was the blues worst player genuinely makes me think you have never watched league.

Hes a work horse and in much respects in that arena the same as yeo..

He will do his job hes not a game breaker but he is reliable as all hell.

The game breaker in latrell got stood up in all 3 games..he was deadset embarrassing.

Lomax was terrible two for game 2 and 3. But he tried at least.

I think robson is the perfect first 50min hooker in origin. Soak up all the intensity then bring on a crafty hooker.. years gone by it wouldve been api but his time has passed

Nathan had a ordinary series. Yeo was average as well

When no Nathan and Yeo I just wonder where points come from is all.
I expect a close game but would like to see Penrith win by 50.

It kind of hints why the club is interested in Sloan. Having someone who can cover fullback and wing gives us the freedom to carry a centre/winger a la Alamoti in the 14. Laurie doesn't really do that.

I think the issue is more that having a valuable member of the squad in the 14 every week leads to them being underdeveloped when they are used. That 5th/6th outside back is too valuable to the squad to only be playing footy when an injury happens. Having Schneider wasting away there isn't really a long term problem.

Yeo understands his assignment:

1) Make his tackles in the middle and don't allow a fast ruck
2) Run up the middle and try to create a fast ruck
3) Pass if the opposition defensive line is reacting to the run.

As far as point one goes there have been few better.

Some say he doesn't belt blokes and that is just not true. He will hit the attacking player on the goal line with everything see Origin 2021 or the Tonga game last year where he smashed Hamale to dislodge the ball on the line. The Grant try in Origin 3 was an outlier.

There is no wasted effort with the great one, every move on the field is calculated with maximum efficiency.

He's neck and neck with Haas for the games best forward, no one else is really close to their level either.

At this point he's our club's greatest ever player.
