I dunno about the trainer thing. I don't think it was that big of a deal. I think Vossy having such a monumental blow up about it kind of made it bigger than it was.

He 100% f**ked up. A fine for the club and suspension for the trainer seems fair. The idea of a shot in front or even points deduction seem insane, especially when, as others have mentioned, theres precedent for that not happening in a case where the same happened to us a few years ago. Campbell had every opportunity to reset and refocus, but chose not to use it. The idea its not his responsibility to regain focus is also crazy. There's infinite capacity to be distracted by any and everything going on in a massive stadium and all the activity on the sideline. Where do you draw the line on an acceptable level of distraction?
Totally disagree. If the distraction is caused by people on the field, that is unnecessary for Campbell's distraction to be cause by people who should know better (ex the trainer). Off field distractions will ALWAYS happen and players are pretty darn good at phasing them out.

Campbell was preparing to take the kick. There was a vast amount of space the trainer could have taken to avoid being in line with the kick.....he chose the wrong area .

Im not sure what you're talking about with Nathan being distracted "all the time". That incident yesterday was an absolute shocker considering the state of the game and Penrith's season. He and Penrith should cop a hit for that one. I absolutely agree that being deducted the comp points is ridiculous.....but I'd expect some sort of sanction plus some rule changes over the off season.

Yes but it was a NSW Cup trainer, So not used to being out there. With a million thing happening. He will cop a fine rightly so

But Campbell was able to set himself and attempt the kick distraction free.

Not all the time but earlier this year a coke bottle was thrown at him, he set himself and took the kick

As for changes, to completely stop this. The clock would have to stop after each try, The NRL doesn't want this so there will be officials on when kicks are taken.

Maybe they need to up the education before trainers can step on the field. Atm there is sickness going around and time to time you will get inexperienced trainers out there

Yeah but he wasn't even kicking. If he was mid kick (a la Cleary v Parra) then its a different question. No one would have had an issue with him taking another minute to go through his routine again and in that context, yes he should be able to refocus.

And it's not like there should be no repercussions. They just shouldn't affect the result because ultimately, the infringement only affected the result to the degree Campbell allowed it to.

Even local trainers know not to run in the sight of a goalkicker.

Even if it weas truly an accident, why should the Titans have to face the consequence of it? The rules are not up to date with trainers.....but that is one instance where the ref should have some discretion and give the kicker a kick from in front.

He was lining up the kick.

Haters = short memories and = Imbeciles.

Calls others imbeciles but not smart enough to see the difference between the b2b2b2b premiers and a team struggling for every win they can get.

for me personally i was coming off super frustration over the second half performance.

Dragons beat Raiders
Warriors lost to Titans
Manly beat Storm

So shit teams are getting it done the last few weeks. Atleast we got the win while the senior guys had shockers

I am sure the actual details will come out to not speculate. Lower grades don't have cameras and microphones and stuff too.

No doubt they are told to steer clear of that or just lost concentration
