Rd.22 v Titans

I personally think that entire game was a good reflection on our season.

First half lines up with the last 7 weeks. Good completion rate with limited mistakes and penalities, good pressure in defence especially on the goal line then just getting into the grind and just dominating the opposition with a little bit of luck.

Second half lines up with the first half of our season. Awful completion rate (5/17 at one point?), substandard defence, stupid penalities and six agains where the players lose their minds (also the trainers apparently) and no ability to stop the opposition momentum when they get a roll on.

Thankfully once the Titans hit the lead they stopped playing and when Tago came back on we flicked a switch and gave them no real shot at winning.

More first half and last 5 minutes of the match and less second half please Panthers...

Players like Marto and Tago who don't deliver on their massive wages deserve to be more harshly judged.
So Cleary is our highest paid player, by some way, his defence (not Tago’s) is one of the main contributing factors in our very poor start to the season. Not once have I seen you call him a Merkin or demand he gets dropped. So if you are “Fair” like you say, Why is this??

Because even when poorly defending Nathan still contributes a f**kload. Very often Tago is unsighted with the ball, Martin as well.

Our attack stank in the first half of the year, Nathan is directly responsible for that and you gave him a pass.

You have your favourite players and that’s completely fine, but for one minute pretend like you look at everyone fairly.

Milky Jenkins is one of the form wingers in the comp and you were still calling for PA to replace him… because you like PA.

Because Paul is a better player with a FAR higher ceiling.
Jenkins is doing well but that's how it is.

I don't agree with this, but it's hardly a crazy statement. PA is a gun, one of the best players on ground in a GF win less than 12 months ago.

See what I mean.

Jenkins is playing consistently better than PA has ever played and you still can’t admit it.
Alamoti was our best player for the first few months. He's also never really had a crack in 1 position. Apart from a terrible game at fullback Jenkins has had a solid run in a single position.
In this situation I'm happy to keep either in grade but it's without a doubt Alamoti has many more strings to his bow on top of being the better athlete.

If we aren't playing him we should have a look around this off-season and swap him for probably a young hooker.
