Cheating was long in the past. Its a big neg for me but you can't fake the consistency they've had. He is doing something right.

The bomb is in vogue its the right play. They just haven't had their full strength spine together. Hughes is the key to everything. They just aren't as good without him.

And that right there ^^^ is the only excuse for allowing Hughes to play. He had a lay off and they wanted to get him some game time. But I bet you Ivan Cleary doesn't play Hughes in that game last night. Bellamy f**ked up.

Different circumstances. The Top 4 was alive. And prior to that we were dead last needing to win every game to make the 8. You have to play when it matters. Last night really didn't matter to anyone except Bellamy's ego.

We changed tact when we realized the top 4 was almost a pipe dream. Our chance was to beat Raiders/Storm and we threw both games away. Then came the great rest that we will tell our grandchildren about.

This is not the same argument as we had previously. Ivan turned us around this year, just doing that has him back in the goat convo IMO.

That being said, 6 top 8s in a row has him at what, half of Bellyaches current streak of top 8 finishes? Maybe not even half, at this stage it looks like the only thing that will keep bellamy from the top 8 is retirement or death. How can anyone say Bellamy isnt a great coach when no other coach comes close to his long term consistency? Sure Ivan has the goat run over the last 6 years, but Belyache is the goat getting teams in top 8, usually top four. T

I get not liking bellamy, but not rating him is mind boggling. Id have him over every coach bar Ivan right now. Dont mention Bennet to me please, he is 15 years removed from his last success and gets absolutely smoked in the h2h stats with Bellyache. Also he has 1 impressive prem with the Dragons, and 6 premierhships he won with a broncos team that IMO had just as much of an advantage as storms over the cap team. Those broncos were very likely cheating and if they weren't i dont think any other club could pull off those teams without cheating, not even the rorters.

I'm obviously being hyperbolic with the hate because he's a merkin of a human but he handed us the 2021 premiership with that awful bench he picked in the preliminary and last night was an absolute disaster.

Well no one picks benches to your satisfaction. They are tailing off pretty badly right now tho if it continues like this it will be a bad look for bellyache, i expected them to be fired up after the loss last week but no coach is perfect, its nice to see them getting flogged. Anyway the reason they dont have one post cameron smith is our run over the years since smith retired. We became the greatest nrl era team and we knocked them out in PF or GF 3 out of the last 4 years. If we were just a normal good team and not the goats they would likely beat us one of those years.

Of the other coaches outside Ivan and Bellamy, Robinson deserves a shout. 3 premierships and only missed the finals once in the past 13 seasons. I hate the Roosters but have met Trent a couple of times at Thredbo and he is a nice bloke.
