No he didn’t. We all knew that he was signed as a centre never as a like for like replacement as the best winger in the world. He was a bargin and anyone who writes him off after a few games where we averaged 35% of the ball doesn’t know much about the game. FFS I have been his biggest critic, but I am prepared to cut him some slack.

Perhaps like for like as in replacing a Winger with a Centre/Fullback was a poor choice of words. Pou said we replaced Semi with a two time Dally M Player of the Year player. If that's not alluding to the fact that The Plane would more than cover for the loss of Semi then I don't know what is. I wasn't expecting him to replace him at all. Different types of players.

I would get rid of virtually every player over the next couple of years. I would also get rid of every member of the coaching staff. I'd also seriously think about renaming the club as the eels is a pathetic brand and we have become a laughing stock.

I'd then target a seriously rich Parramatta fan with more money than sense and convince them to buy us and pump a shitload amount of money into the club. Preferably they'd be famous as well so that we'd be swimming in TPAs.

I'd then buy Bellamy and the best spine I could get my hands on and make sure that we have a bunch of enthusiastic guys with incredible attitudes in support roles. If any player shows any sign of a bad attitude they are punted.

Unless we do something this drastic then we are just fiddling in the margins.

If BA can’t identify good leaders then that’s on him and no one else.

That's our problem for overpaying Norman. The Raiders wont help us out in that regard. In an open market Austin and Norman are worth about the same. Austin may actually be more valuable.

He needs a new assistant pronto. That's the first solution. I wish I could tell you more about what's going on but I can't. This forum isn't about a bunch of mates talking about our team because it's too public (obviously) but let's just say the honeymoon is definitely over and we are heading for a divorce.

I have already said from round 1 I would have kept Jennings on the right, Hayne at fullback , French at wing, not signed Evans. Gone after either of:
McLean, packer, matalino, graham (and remember pou reckon origin player Napa is on less than 500k and we signed Evans for 350-400k so we prob could have afforded one of them). That would be a start.

Evans is a better attacking forward than Napa, which is why he would cost more.

There is one aspect of your plan that is quite flawed. Why does the rich person need to buy the club? Why couldn't they just spend what they were going to do in buying the club on TPA's??
