Well we had it in the rack to start with, so they owed us. We also stopped conceding penalties when we were too tired to get up quickly in defence.

What's your suggestion Pou Bear on the best way for us to try and turn around the possession?

Our recruitment was fine. Our only loss was Radradra and we replaced him with a two time Dally M winner. Plus we added a big fast forward to the pack.

I think you'd have to agree that The Plane was never going to be a like for like replacement for Semi.

I think you are kidding tourself if you think its conclusive hoffman would be better at fullback than smith .... hoffman looks slow as shit .... only reason smith is there is cos the THREE yep THREE other preferred options for fullback are not available ... so again, reckon you are totally clutching at straws saying its a terrible decision

And it ignores the fact that if Hoffman played fullback, who the f**k would play wing? It is a very important position - we saw Corey Thompson get found out in defence today. Josh Hoffman had to attempt nine tackles. At least at fullback Smith's (and French's) tackles are in the middle of the field where there is help.

I feel the only way that we can be competitive is to get up off the line quickly. Every team is being penalised for doing this, so I don't think it's just us.

Because we're poor at slowing the play the ball down, we're going to be offside more often than not. It's a problem for us, we're damned if we do and damned if we don't

The only solution to resolve this is not move up in defence and allow your opponent to come to you. Sure they're going to make more ground each set.of six, but we shouldn't give them back to back sets of possesion with penalties. The Broncos have used this type of defensive line in the pst and had some success, so it's not something ridiculous. The only thing is your line defence needs to be spot on.
