Definitely poor, and very disappointing. I agree! Especially the last 15 or so (but that's caused by storm have so much ball).

Tago not taking the ball, long distance try on both edges, very disappointing!

But we also have to consider the reasons.....Storm are just too good. Just look at their spine...they have around 550 nrl games we have 170 or so (mainly from Drown)...

Ryles trying to blood rookies, which is a good idea, but once you lose Moses, it really makes it tough.

I know we have injuries but picking Tago and Russell to mark Coates and Warbrick was a terrible call.

This is a huge concern, there is no other way to butter it but coaching when it is round 1.

Yeah that is coaching, not the fault of 1 or 2 being targeted. A good coach can anticipate and rectify issues before they become glaring obvious.

About the only positives I can write about that first half are:

Some of Iongi's efforts in fullback defence - before the gaps/misses and general onslaught became too much.

Russell's efforts to try and get there (usually from a long way away from the line break) at the end - he hasn't done much wrong.

As for everyone else today... totally outclassed by their opposition.

The biggest disappointing thing about that half is that no player who is injured significantly changes the scoreline. The forwards lost control of the contest early. Lane and Matterson being there wouldnt significantly fix it enough to have been able to match the Storm.

I'm so glad we did all that ballwork in the offseason. Have'nt seen any benefit yet.

We obviously did'nt do ANY work on defense.

Can someone remind me when we conceded 46 points in a first half under BA?

Apparently we didn't do any training without the ball, which won't help us much in defence.

Any side with only 40% of the ball, against a full strength Storm, is going to make some poor tackle attempts!

This is a problem with RL, if you're getting smashed, it just snowballs cause you don't have the footy
