Well a continuous 6 again infringement on tackle 1or 2 was what worked for STG and Easts tried to duplicate.

That has been taken away from them now as they face a sin bin.

This will only make us more dominant in the middle.

I hope so. I'm just worried that the way refs adjudicate games a lot of the time they seem to ignore what a lot of teams do against us, so as penalties and 6 again calls don't get to lopsided, so that they don't get criticised by the opposition coach. They know BA will say nothing. Human nature to subconsciously or otherwise look after your own interests.

BA needs to be smart and make an issue about this. He can show stats if he has to and make it definitive. The best coaches would workout a way to make this an issue that the refs can't ignore.

BA is very wary of what he said to the media these days. Once bit, twice shy. For his own reasons he gives nothing away, refuses to get drawn in to headline gotchas and (even with Jake) tries to hose down the hype. I reckon the Salary Cap shirt storm whilst he was at Melbourne and here in 2016 has taught him that if you give the press an inch, they will take a mile and you could be in the news for the next week.

I agree with you that sometime he misses an opportunity to have a whinge, but on balance it's better than being like Sticky who goes full on Karen and wants to speak to the manager every presser.

Flashback to 2018. should Jakob have made his debut earlier?

Another good win, did enough early then took the foot off the pedal.

Worrying signs though in the second half. We allowed too many offloads and Blake was continually missing tackles. Hopefully he is better next week.
BA needs to man up and drop Blake and bring in Peninisi, he can't be worse in defence can he to anyone who has been watching NSW Cup?

The bold part is just nonsense. How would you know how he feels or thinks?

He is just a no nonsense type of coach and doesn't look for excuses for himself or his players to fall back on.

It's just that sometimes a smart whinge goes a long way in giving you a better rub of the green. He needs to adapt for the good of the team. Not saying he needs to morph into di*khead Sticky.

I reckon a club and a coach can be more effectively influencing referees by what they do behind the scenes.

You are probably right. But do you think that we are actively doing anything about it behind the scenes?

He is a no fuss and get on with it type of character and coach.

Blake's been out for over 2 mths with a calf injury. So most of that time I doubt he has been running.
It was a game where warriors flung ball around in desperation. And they went for Arthur's side. I don't recall Blake being that terrible. I'd have to watch it again.
People need to give hinna few weeks stleast to get his fitness back.

That’s a fair point. I looked at 12 tackles and 6 misses but watching the game it didn’t occur to me that he was that poor. I did see his ‘hit but not stick’ trademark a couple of times though.

I saw him repeatedly come out of the line only to miss his man. He is much better when working in tandem with Fergo.

You deliberately put this irony in for some reason, didn’t you?

I can remember him being involved in 3 tackles, good or bad. One where he slid, made good contact and his teammates came to help finish tackle. The other 2 were both when Maumolo got ball close to line where he came over in cover but Maumolo stepped inside (this happens heaps of times with different attackers and defenders).
I can’t recall him shooting out of the line, let alone his excruciating shoot out of line and wave arms at his opponent move.
