High shots called on Carty and Gutho.
Matto when Big Red got sin binned.
Escort on JA.
I think both Carty and Gutho hit the player in the head, but sure there are others like Guthos that get missed.

I'm fine with Matto.

I'll agree with the escort penalty, but only because this is not often given. The strict reading of the rule I suspect this is a penalty, bit it is very rarely awarded.

If we infringed 10 times and they infringed 3 times only, then of course it is fair. It's subjective after all. So it's almost not worth discussing. The coach is out of answers and has reached his ceiling IMO. Time for a new voice.
If all infringements from both sides were accurately out called then you would be right.

Yes, to a point. Our PTB is always too slow, that costs us.

our kicks are mostly non contested so we aint going to get a escort penalty. we just play too passive, we dont attack with our defense, We never go for 40/20s, we hardly try to strip the ball, our keys players float in and out of games.

We're passive and that helps reduce our opportunities to win footy games.

The escort penalty requires the defender (JA) to change his line in order to block the attacker. JA stopped and turned his back but did not change his line.

Guthos was questionable if you penalize that you need to do it to about another 20 a game...

Carty was off the ball around the arm then he loses the ball
Carty hit him flush on the head, it may not have been forceful, but then it doesn't need to be.

Agree on the Gutho one, was a 50/50 call that went against him

I think he's delusional, we gave away the penalties, I can't think of one that wasn't deserved, although Simonsson hip drop thing was just one of those things.
He was pissed for good reason. The last time we were f**ked over like this was when the ref tried to get the Bulldogs back into the game. Luckily it didn't matter then. Today those merkins gave us no chance. Constant soft penalties whenever we looked like getting the upper hand.

We conceded double our season average today. But more importantly, in a game where the Raiders were fired up and grubby they only conceded three? Get the f**k out of here.

Agree to disagree on Carty It was off the ball first then onto that Merkins arms near his neck then onto the neck most never get called. Apart for tonight against us.

We have a good 9 or 10 players but a pretty weak squad so when we are missing some, we struggle.
I think I mentioned this last year and was told it was all the coach and that our squad was fine.
You arevright

poor Brad, getting stuck with a squad into which he had no input and being forced to pick players he knows are terrible.

poor bloke.

That is my point. That's never going to be the case, it's rugby league and has been adjudicated this way for years.

Castigating Atkins and the officials is convenient but naive IMO. We were, again, fortunate to be anywhere near them in the last 10 minutes.

I'll agree that this isn't often a penalty, but in the strict interpretation of the rule, a player can't be in front of another player and stop a defender getting to the person catching the ball. That is nothing less than an obstruction. This could be penalised a lot more often, but for whatever reason it isn't.

Hate to harp on about JA but most 19/20 year olds who suddenly play grade have to be absolutely killing it in flegg/reserves. Usually with a reputation due to making every rep team available . JA isn't an athletic freak or amazing footballer. Im fairly certain he never played Aus Schoolboys. I watched him during his junior years and he wasn't anything special. I remember whispers about his favouritism after he made the 1's at Rhinos and then Harold Matt's.
Usually first graders either burst onto the scene at a young age due to there reputation or slowly bide there time in cup for a chance. It's painfully obvious that he's being favoured due to his dad being the coach. He wouldn't be playing first grade and probably not even NSW cup yet he's always 18th man. Watch him after games with the other players, it's extremely awkward . This sets up a bad environment. It gives an insight into BA's stubborn mentality

No, the "great defender" of Hodgson is you - so it was tagging you to be the stats man to come up with the requested stat...
We wear teams down so whoever is on late in the game will look better at that stat. It is meaningless. Like Jake Arthur's points per minute stat in grand finals.
