That first half was pretty good.
Some very good attack paired with some poor defensive lapses with a couple of ‘what the f**k’ plays thrown in.

We are finding holes in Manly’s defence which is good to see. A couple of those line breaks should have been finished off but some inexperience/stupidity left us short unfortunately. Good that we got those three tries on the board.

Our right edge in defence is shaky. Manly will just keep going there so we need to limit their opportunities as much as possible. Handling errors in our own half and giving them piggyback penalties will kill us. Keep up the short passing in the middle and spread when we get the chance.

Dylan Brown is a shit kicker. If Hawkins could take the last tackle kicks from now on that would be great thanks.

The support play was too late. He didn't know Brown was supporting as he (Brown) was way back having reacted slowly like a fella not 100 % switched on.

He has some natural ability. Takes a good hit up. Needs to work on his hands.

I’m loving iongi but of the things he needs to improve is support play in general play. The good fullbacks are always there when a line break is made to ensure line breaks become tries

I haven’t seen much from Samrani tonight to suggest he’s not having a good game. He let his opponent get on the outside of him on those two tries but he had the player cleaned up of Josh’s doesn’t come in. Needs to communicate better I guess.

Russell has had a couple of chances to get the ball to JAC but chose to hold onto it.Probably just taking the safer option rather than forcing a tricky pass. He’s defended pretty well so far. Kicked two conversions. Hopefully he has a good second half.

He did, but he’s been good apart from those. He did bomb that chance in his break but he didn’t turn over the ball either.

He just chose to do that with that kick instead.

We are 2-3 players away from being heavyweights. Right now, as in tonight, I really hope we do a number on Manly.

Mattos doing a job but he looks slow. All the smaller middles we have now are really highlighting it.
