These are the games Martín loves a bash party .i can see him and fisher smashing .What a game and a real test for us
Love what you're predicting, but I'm sure Martin & co will be simply playing according to the Cleary master plan. Trying to prove how tough one is by bashing the shit out of the opposition is one way of either getting injured, or getting it wrong and being put on report. I see us as a smart team without having to prove how tough we are.

I would be surprised if Yeo makes the origin side, pleasantly so.
Last year I started the "Yeo for SOO" soundout, and quite rightly,it has grown legs. But I doubt very much that Freddy will change his squad but only if he has to if there is a major form slump and an injury toll.

This is going to be a tough game.

I hope Api is back.

Brookie in the middle of winter (at night) is hard work.

Let's hope the boys are on, and Trent's been in their collective ears about the Manly sneaky tricks lot.

Freddy has achieved success with NSW not by picking on reputation, but by picking on form and demonstrated effort. If that continues, our boy will be right if he stays healthy.

Staines does bring speed. Last night's game showed what Johnson and Dufty did. A lot of tries that most wingers do not even make more then 15mtrs cause they are closed down.
Having speed is deadly

Yep that kind of lights out speed is so valuable. Dyl brought a bit of speed when he came back and we started finishing long range tries that we werent when he was out straight away, having a winger with Staines acceleration will be a huge bonus.

We've got by with metre eating wingers for a long time now so everyone seems that think if our wingers arent making 150m plus taking tough hitups that we will struggle. Any winger we pick will put their hand up for those runs, they wont do as well as Sauce but as long as they arent shirking the tough hitups its fine IMO and a guy like Staines will make up the difference in breaks and half breaks, he only needs half a foot to be on the outside of his winger and streaking away and if we have a support player able to keep up with him he will likely find them with a pass.

Dufty also cost a try with an intercept. That is where you got weigh up risk v reward. Dragons need Dufty but would Storm or Roosters take the risk on someone like that? That is where it is tough

More than just metres. Tackle effenciency Mansour is best winger at 87%. Staines in a game we dominated is at 75%. Tackle busts, offloads too Mansour is up

So do you weigh up do you want an unproven winger that brings speed and try scoring but is an unknown for the above.

Especially when Crichton is raw himself. That is the side we will get attacked in the finals to tire Kikau out but also to test the inexperience of Luai and Crichton

That is where it becomes not so straight forward

Yeah there is more to consider than who will score more but if Staines can be solid defensively he will really add something we are missing in this side offensively.

It’s a physical contact sport.high impact is what wins the battle in the middle.we don’t stand our ground we get run over

Tough is not how much you can dish out. It is how much you can withstand. Martin Lang was tough. Adrian Morley wasn't.

Interest panther video of to o dancing his ankle looks good.He may be back sooner than we expected
Cleary senior mentioned that he wasn’t to far away and Capewell not far behind him.
Some great selection headaches coming our way hopefully :grinning:
