I remember in 2019 and we were looking at signing him when Penrith had their firesale post gould.

He chose the dogs because they promised him FB. We wanted him to play in the centres.

We ended up signing Waqa Blake after DWZ chose the dogs.

Despite waqa's issues I think Waqa has provided better input then what DWZ would have.

Also I reckon its still dodgy how the Dogs offloaded DWZ to the warriors 2 weeks before Gould took the GM role at the dogs when he was still with the warriors at the time.

That doesn't pass the pub test if you ask me and how that slipped under the radar I will never know.

It might not have slipped under the radar. What they did was legal, so unless there are some minutes of a Board meeting saying "Gus is coming, f**k DWZ off to NZ" then there's not much they can do.

And even if they did say that and DWZ agreed to the release there is still nothing that can be done about it. It’s just a mutual agreement to get out of the contract.
