Hopgood and Matto if they are to continue in first grade need to stop thinking they can pass..
Both need to just run hard and get a quick play the ball.

If Iongi's pass to Samrani hits him on the chest we possibly score and go out by 10.

Think maybe meant to be a cut out pass,

One major disappointment was Panfers looked fresher than us, how does that work when they had 5 reps to our 2 ?
Their outside backs worked harder than ours coming out of their own end. Samrani and Russel couldn’t even crack 90m. Takes a toll on our forwards, especially when there were large periods of the game where the ball was in play set after set

I don't blame the ref for the loss but gee we got murdered in the ruck. Penrith were given latitude and boy did they take it. We couldn't make the same metres coming out of our end because of slow play the balls.

The was one blatant forward pass and then a ridiculous 6 again call in the lead up to their second try.

We had our chances, just not quite good enough today. But, many positive signs. Our defence is improving, our style of play is not boring, and we have some talented young players. Just need a few key signings to make us a contender.

The pass was too hard. Cut-out to lomax and he goes in untouched.
Thought Hopgood played better today but agree him and Matto who was also good (in fact no bad players) need to offer more leg speed.
Anyway I'm sure Rylesy will identify and rectify that

It's our structure, matterson and Hopgood aren't passing because they just feel like it.....

It's the shape we are playing, they are given the responsibility/option of running or passing.

And there is the problem they want to pass before putting in the hard work

yeah he’s done an awesome job…I hope he’s given every opportunity to take us to another level in the next 12 to 18 months,
Why wouldn't he be?
Very good batch of juniors coming through, will be able to further shape the roster next year and his systems will be more ingrained.
My understanding there is no panic with recruitment and they are being very particular with identifying who they want to bring to the club.
Normally I'm pretty sh%tty after a loss but I'm not.
Either I'm more mature or know that good things with the club should be around the corner

So does Ryles, MoN and Jim.
So all they have to be is close to as good as what we see the Raiders do. That should be easy given their so called disadvantages.

Executing that is unfortunately not what we have seen, we can hope that they understand how to do and get it done. Guess they do have some help for direction from Ryles by the look of it.
