I actually disagree to a large extent. What Sheens is very good at, he is still very good at, and that is developing young players. I dont mean what most mean about developing young players which is simply finding them young, and pushing them through the lower grades. Sheens is good at actually getting a young player and making them into a good player. That was what got us 2005.
Not a single player (other than maybe Luciano leilua) improved under Madge, but since Sheens has taken over, there are a list of young players who looked like reserve graders under Madge, now look like good first grade players, including Starford To'a, Junior Tupou, Fonua Pole, even Stef has improved. Even when we were 0-8 early this season, our defence was good, our pack good and we were slightly better than the week before. Then we had a month with three wins and club admi thought everything was fixed and thought its OK to turn the club on its head and shake everything out.
The position the Tigers are in isnt able to be fixed quickly overnight with a new coach, it is going to take years of putting the right things in place to make it come good. IMO Sheens plan was actually working up until about a month ago when the morons running our club pulled the rug out.
