Cos we're not natural born theivesWhy don't we do it more? Gutherson did it on the weekend but it seems the other 2 guys don't know you are supposed to drop off the tackler.
Or we are slow on the uptake of taking advantage of new rulesCos we're not natural born theives
So we are happy to turn the game into some safety first, dont try and set yourself up for an offload pile of shit?
Dumbest bullshit rule
We know how to drop off tackles, mate. Why don't we do it more? Gutherson did it on the weekend but it seems the other 2 guys don't know you are supposed to drop off the tackler.
Maybe BA's weekly email to the players used a comma instead of the word 'while'We know how to drop off tackles, mate.
If they got rid of this dumb rule merkins wouldn't be reefing at it long after the ball is wrapped up and the tackle is effectively complete. As it is, ball carriers are going to have to go into contact with both arms wrapped around the ball like a f**ken little bitch and there'll be far fewer offloads or even players using their fend. Not when some merkin is reefing at it, no.
Would you?
You stop being free to offload only when some merkin has wrapped the ball up. But by then, if the defence is smart, that defender now has better control of the ball than the ball carrier, because he has both hands around it while some other defender is occupying the attacker's other arm. The only way to make a fair contest is for the attacker to hold the ball in two hands as soon as he's in contact with the defence. That'll make offloads as rare as uncooked chicken from Iberia.No.
But I am happy to have more of an onus on ball carriers to hold the damn thing when some bloke is all over the ball.
Offload when you are free to offload.
Actually the great big face said something i whole heartedly agree with
GET RID OF THE DUMB f**kING STRIPPING RULE .... IT'S SHIT!!!
Early days ... every merkin will get into it and it will become a bore festYet the average offload stats haven't dipped much, if at all... Curious for something that is being killed off.
Perhaps the players who are consistently good at offloading the footy are consistently good because they know when to offload, and all this drama about killing second phase play is an overreaction to the fact that shit offloaders like Evans and Takairangi have had to be less dumb?
The good offloaders will still offload. That's why they are good offloaders.Early days ... every merkin will get into it and it will become a bore fest
Offloads will drop off significantly when these 'one-on-one' steals drop off. At the moment most players haven't adjusted.Yet the average offload stats haven't dipped much, if at all... Curious for something that is being killed off.

The problem with the rule is that because merkins continue to try and wrestle the ball away with multiple players in the tackle and the player with the ball is trying not to have the ball stolen, the f**king useless refs let the tackle go on and on and then that’s when they coordinate and drop off the tackle.
If the referees would call held earlier or blow a penalty for hand on the ball there would be much less issues.
It has to go in its current state, it is shit and a terrible spectacle and just another version of wrestling!
ThisThe new stripping rule is ridiculous because no way in the world the refs could police it with consistency. They’re already struggling for that why place extra pressure/scrutiny on them.

Unfortunately that doesn't work so well when there are 3 or 4 blokes reefing at the ball and arms.No.

If Kearney did a "Brad Arthur" he would have got the rub of the green during the game against the Eels. And if Kearney did a "Brad Arthur" and not said a word would there have been such a reaction?
The worse decision I saw all weekend was the Souths forward pass to win their game in the dying seconds vrs the Dragons. That was an absolute shocker.
