Validation of your own pessimism is like giving yourself a pat on the back.

Winning tough games is what winning the comp is all about. If we defend at our best and get 50% of the ball consistently all match we can beat anyone. We have shown this against every team. We deserve 3rd place. We are not their by fluke.

Our for and against shows we're definitely not the third best team. But we are tough and gritty and we usually win the close ones. We'll give a good account of ourselves in the finals. Or get f**ken smashed two weeks in a row.

Fifteen teams fail to win the comp each year. There's no shame in being one of them. But even if we went out in straight sets (we won't, because we'll win in week two) we still won 15 games this year and enjoyed the season. Last year we also won 15 games, including smashing the Broncos in the finals. We have a good team and enjoy watching footy each week. Who cares if we don't have as much money as the Storm. At least we're not as weak as the Tigers.

Never been a Brooks fan but gee he had a game last night. Best half on the field. Even his defence was strong. Well done kid. I didn't see that coming.
