Its probably happened in my long history as an Eels Fan but I really cant ever recall a game, for all intent and purpose, being over after a mere 10 minutes. Such was our performance tonight.
I did tip our team to finish 10th this year based on zero changes within the coaching ranks so I suppose I should be delighted with our current table position. Regrettably our team has this cruel ability to give hope early in the season and make us doubt ourselves then violently bring us back to reality with a resounding thud. Well they dragged us all in again.
Im sure Jim, MON and our Footy Club Board wont fall for the 3 cards trick again.

Our defence outside of the 2-5 is honestly very solid. But I dont think ive ever seen such a spineless and badly coached 2-5.

It's not solid at all. We're not getting numbers into the tackle and it's leading to the whole team being stuck on the back foot for the whole set.

First 10mins of second half were more promising, but we currently don't have the cattle to compete with top 8 teams who are at or close to full strength. Turbo 1, turbo 2, Cherry Evans, and #10 whose name escapes me all bring the quality.

Without Mahoney and Campbell-Gillard from our starting pack we'll never win the ruck against contending teams, and our centre stocks were thin before the season started (unable to effectively replace Jennings). Our bench and back-ups weren't looking strong enough to get us through a season without injury luck, and it's amazing we stayed in the top 4 for so long really.

Campbell-Gillard is the rock of our middle defence. Without him we were smashed by the Roosters, Souths (twice) and now Manly.
