Why is stating facts akin to being a BA nuthugger?

JA was given the inside run with Ethan Sanders ousted.

Sanders was run out of the club.

Now, JA is reserve grade Knights looking to go to English Super League while Sanders will step up to replace Fogarty in first grade NRL 2026.

No, Jake Arthur was run out of the club. Sanders went to the Raiders for an opportunity even though we wanted him to be our backup.

Now, JA is reserve grade Knights looking to go to English Super League while Sanders will step up to replace Fogarty in first grade NRL 2026.

Then this should explain why Sanders left. Also explains why Jake Arthur was happy to remain as our backup until the fans ran him out of the club.

I think we lost Sanders because we had Moses signed up and planned to be our long-term 7.

I think you are missing the point but. We've had very little come through via juniors in the last 5yrs. But 4 or 5 have been hyped as potential stars. Whilst we managed to fight of competition for Russel and Penisini.
Id say these are the most hyped up ones -

So we are 0/4. People can bring up Katoa or Dearden. Thats fine but other clubs generally keep the best juniors they want. Or atleast get a few good years of cheap service.

Talagi and Sanders wanted to play in the halves. Utoikamanu was useless for those first few years. It’s good that we didn’t overpay for him. And if he was still at the club he would be on a ridiculous amount. He is a mercenary, just like TDS, who is the same age as Matt Arthur but better.

Part of the problem (and this forum and TCT are real guilty) is we hype juniors too early. Which drums up media recognition and means we going to (or perceived to be going to) pay them overs in the years when we, and those good other clubs, want to milk them for massive unders.
At least this year we’ve gone the other way and a kid, who has just only turned 21 and played ok apart from 2 instances yesterday, being labelled as shit and too small. Or calls for a highly ranked (by other clubs) 20 year old to be dropped to reserves after a very ordinary game.
People on here need to chill out more. Not everything needs to be binary. @Parrapat bro can you post some Marley videos, get everyone in an easy mood

Is he though? He hasn't shown anything so far so say he is worth the money we are paying him..

I know we are going for youth but even Hands/Lussick could have done a better job on the weekend.

I think he’s shown plenty of potential, but yes we would be paying him for that rather than for his current output. The market for young talent is insane, and they are likely all being overpaid in the first year or two of whatever contract they’re on.

I know we are going for youth but even Hands/Lussick could have done a better job on the weekend.

Apart from a couple of poor decisions I thought he looked dangerous and defended well. He backs himself, which is good most of the time. It was just the wrong time to do it late on Sunday.
