Can’t deliberately propel the ball forward to your own advantage I believe is the rule but perhaps the rule doesn’t actually say to anything about advantage. Bit tough to say knocking the ball on is to your advantage. If he had caught it again maybe, but it was never the intention of the rule. Another “Only Eels get penalised” rule

I think there is 2 different rules the one where you can't proper the ball towards opposition goal and gain an advantage and deliberately knocking it forward/ on.

But the Gutho one is the same as we see every week but he just made it look more spectacular.

Deliberately knocking on/forward is just rugby union stupidity isnt it?

Well we have always troubled Brisbane up especially up there in Brisbane I remember growing up in the Brian Smith era we always won in Brisbane and they had the QLD state of origin team.

Between 1998-2004 we won in Brisbane 7 times from 9 games.

And before i was born i believe we also won the 1st game at that running track venue ANZ Stadium with a shit team.
And in round 1 the following year we drew 12-all with a last minute disallowed try to Plowman from a dubious forward pass call.

Yes we were little more sloppy but we were not very poor.

there were 4 occasions when the last line broncos edge defender jumped and purposely knocked down the pass - not going for an intercept but just knocking on Purposely to shut down the play and stop us scoring. We could have had 4 more tries in minutes 40-60.
Freddy was talking about it after the game and how in union it’s now a penalty to purposely knock on to break down play and repeat offenders are binned. I don’t think it’s a bad idea tbh…
It's a yellow in rugby. Daft rule I reckon. A penalty should be enough. Pretty hard to tell if they were going for the intercept or not. Catch it, your a hero. Drop it, cool your arse for 10 minutes.
