Coming through the grades, Sam Hughes was the forward who was the one to watch and was regarded as more likely to make it than Hollis. No one knows the back story to his removal from the playing group, guess judgement can be made if and when the real story is known.

Unfortunate, as physically he was the one to watch.

I'd imagine if he was out of club his profile would be gone by now. My tip is the year off.

I thought it was a terrific gesture to give the captains armband to Will Smith. Terrific club man, always thought he was a really undervalued squad player in his time with the Panthers. Sometimes being a utility can count against you in some respects. I was so pleased for him, late starter but has had a decent career for a fringe player, just always gives his all and never lets anyone down. Every club needs a Will Smith or two.
