We made it so hard on ourselves. Just individual mistakes kill us. Whether it’s shit defence, Mahoney dropping the ball and taking wrong options. Waqa having a good game then dropping 3 kicks. We make it hard.

I still feel like Storm where the better side. They ripped us apart more often. But we defended well. We got two tries off bombs and one of a field goal that hit the post. They are far more explosive.
In saying that we made it easy for them. We need to learn they are most dangerous at start of their sets not at end. We also need to learn to take Papanhuzen out of the game. The kids dynamite.

Tough win!! What was great is we aren’t anywhere need 100%….

while it’s a long season and we won’t know until the year is over I suspect we have trained to build into the season as opposed to the previous season where we start fast but fade a little.

Obviously we are fit, but it looks like we have a lot left in the “tank”, for example our defence is no where near as aggressive/line speed isn’t great. We weren’t that aggressive against the Sharks either.

RCG, Gutho, Paulo did good, but aren’t as dominant as previous years in the first few rounds.
