That's why I don't rate the Storm all that highly, especially with the injured players they had out.

But the Storm aren't the GOAT cheating team of a couple of seasons ago, only good to great cheaters now.
They are still top 4 and too professional for most teams and very tough to beat.

You still dont see them get put away by 30-40 points. They are almost in every game to the final siren.

Quite remarkable when you consider Lane can get very lazy he isnt the first person you think off to put that effort in.

You could say his weak effort on Smith that lead to papenhuyzen try was made up for from the chargedown 3 mins later.

Yes but he looks fitter and has dropped weight. More agility and more mobile

He’s also poking through the opposition defensive line with some regularity now. I think he’s been very good for the most part so far this season.

Well every week last year Lane copped it on here. It annoyed me. Yet this year he has so far been our best forward and most consistent but the only time others mention his name is when he drops a ball. Half the time they are balls that are pressure passes with him running at speed making them very difficult.
I couldn't agree more. Well, maybe I could, but I'm not sure how. I agree a real lot.

Coincides with him playing consistently on the edge. He was a gun when he played there before it was someones idea to move him to the middle. Ffs.

TBH i think he got a bit complacent ... which is why i reckon he got moved to the middle to get a bit of a rocket up him .... agree he is good on an edge and we need him to play well there

From memory he got moved away because papali'i was in beast mode at the start of last year when matto went down for 6 weeks that papali'i stayed on the edge.

So when matto came back lane dropped to the bench.

I still like Bryce and Lane starting.
Matto at lock and Brown and Papali'i on bench with Marata. It adds so much Montreal and interchange.

Both of you show consistently you fail to notice defensive effort outside a big hit.
Either lack of effort or ability to defend an edge is 100% why he got moved/benched last year. That’s what he has fixed. His ball running/playing has always been good enough to make him a 1st grader.

It's possible, however he only retired 10 years ago, so you would need to be literally early 20's not to have seen him play.

We got the spoon that year, however 45,000 of us turned up to ANZ to say thanks.

Yeah that was a great night.

That was the 1st time i actually got drunk at the football as i just turned 18.

Yeah i reckon anyone who is 12-13 years old or younger who watch the fox league shows wouldn't have been old enough to remember Hindy and only see him get the piss taken out of him.

Its a shame but Hindy went down that route and obivously enjoys it.

I hate it though how he always looks at the negatives when ever he talks about Parramatta.

I sort of get the vibe his nervousness and negative mindset always thinking the worst may have rubbed off in those Brian smith years when he was a senior player which we should have won a comp in explains why we possibly shat the bed so many times because we didn't truly believe they could win it.

Phenomenal team. Only clueless blingwads would try and underestimate them.

I've calculated that you were between the ages of 6-13 when he was at his peak, which means you were probably asking you parents for juice during all the good parts.

I also worked out that I am older than he is.

So in summary, stay off my lawn.

Loved this game. Well, I wasn’t loving it for a bit...but then I was loving it...but then I wasn’t again...but then I was.

Also if Mahoney plays like that every game next year I’ll be pretty happy.

So good to beat the Storm. I’m still on a high from it. Have watched the winning try about 30 times today.

Most of these merkins attack better on the edge. RCG would love running at halfbacks. But only two merkins can play second row at the same time.
