Honestly think Penisini needs to go back to his position on the other side to partner Lomax. They’d be a a great Combo
I actually was thinking the opposite.

Lomax and Foxx
Bailey and Peni

Which sides, dunno. I don't see why Lomax can't play left.

There are times Samrani was a little too slow and if Foxx was there, something could happen.

Disappointing loss.
The shite fight that the club was left in by BA isn't going to change overnight.
Today, although I'm so pissed that we lost, shows that there is some hope.
In JR we should trust.
I feel for Zac. He worked so hard. Iongi has been a great decision to replace Gutho.
We'll move forward, and it will happen.
I'm sick of having to continually being patient, but my positivity keeps me alive.
Today was an actually good day, despite the loss. It proved that we aren't actually down and out yet.
That performance gave me hope.
Glass half full.
Lane can go. Matto might be better in his spot though I see Matto more a middle now.

So overall, a pleasing amount of energy and effort in the second half. Maybe it was Ryles' half time talk, maybe it was Smith - but that's the threshold we should aim at for 80mins, not the shit we dealt up too often in the first half.

Our spine is really inexperienced - Iongi, Hawkins, Smith - and trying their hearts out, and will get better with each run. One notable and departing exception though - Brown really can't do anything of note unless the conditions are created for him by others. I'd persist with starting Lussick for 30mins to soak up the niggle, and then swap him out for Smith 10mins before halftime through to the end of the match.

Lomax was immense, and hopefully that effort will be infectious to the guys who aren't beyond saving. I think JAC will add similar energy on the other side, hopefully that lifts Penisni's game too, and more important his decision making. Samrani is a year or two away, and I expect we'll see Simonssen return to first grae alongside Lomax from next week, with Russell as the back supersub during rep season (Lomax) and if anyone cops an injury.

Forwards - Paulo played well in teh forst 20mins, but I think he is a max 40min per game player now (like Fisher-Harris, nothing wrong with that). Our front row rotation is then Williams, Offa, and (eventually) Matterson - but Tuivati will do for small stints in the meantime. Doorey's solid enough as an option to allow Hopgood and with a bit of shuffling any of our edges a break. Lane (post 2022 form) and Kautoga (despite efforts) are ordinary pair of starting edges though...

0-3, and while yes Moses is missing he isn't teh answer to some of the stuff that lets us down out there... the individual defensive lapses and variable energy in the first half of games.

A much better effort. Great debut by Hawkins. Steered the ship much better than Volkman, who tbf to him was out of position.

Incredible performance by Lomax. Iongi was great at the back as well. He’s been a great acquisition.

Credit to big Junior as well. I thought he punched the line pretty well today and put on a few bell ringers in defence. Not sure when our first win is going to come, possibly against the Dragons in a fortnight’s time. If we maintain that level of intensity things will change.

I thought Lane had a reasonable game 30 tackles 1 miss. Not much in attack but if you're not given the ball there's not much you can do. Like the rest of the team, an improved effort.
I would'nt get carried away with Williams, his pathetic arm grab led directly to the first try.

There's 2 things I hate about Lane.... does really dumb things with the ball.... he can try things if his support is in better position but he doesn't. Secondly, he is lazy. He is never the first one back and he's always dawdling with hands on hips.

It just shites me.

I actually would like Carty back but whether he still has passion, dunno.

I agree with Williams too.
