They still might've won if the Dogs were down on confidence but unfortunately for them the Dogs are pumped this week. That's how we get upsets.

I guess that's the difference between a coach that can adjust their team's game plan and mind set at half time, and one that can't... or allows them to underestimate the opposition's ability to improve?

We have a few merkins off contract next year but the only one who would be on much more than minimum salary would be Simonsson. We have a few kids who should be ready for the top 30 (e.g. Tuivati, Guymer, Arthur, Penisini and AMS) plus Moretti who has already played first grade. These are guys we should be able to get for minimum salary. We can replace the following current top 30 members:

Asi
Cini
Harper
Makatoa
Ogden
Simonsson
Taumoepenu

But these guys do need to be replaced in the top 30. Besides Simonsson, how much would the others be on? Was there enough demand for them to be on much more than the minimum? Maybe an extra $30k-$50k for the likes of Makatoa (top 17 when he re-signed), Harper (56 NRL games) and Ogden (45 NRL games). Asi, Cini and Taumoepenu would be on minimum salary. The club obviously has the cap space for Lomax next year. Maybe we are well under this year. Momoisea and Rodwell won't have freed up much. Have we convinced Dunster not to take up his mutual option?

All brushed and get Lomax, Turuva and a quality hooker and we are set
