There's too many people comparing Smith to mahoney. Watch the set-up set to the field goal yesterday vs the set-up sets to field goals we had against the storm and tigers when mahoney was here. Smith played everything nice and direct and then when a quick play the ball came he threw it straight to Lomax for the field goal.

Against the storm in 2022, instead of going towards the middle mahoney went the hero play down a short side completely ignoring Moses and ultimately creating an unforced error. Then again, against the tigers he passed to Moses a tackle early when he was pointing for oregan to take a hit-up and completely derailed the attempt as that led to a slow play the ball. Let's hope that Smith doesn't develop the ego of mahoney and continues playing for the team and club rather than the highlight reel.

Junior's big minutes probably a factor - had more impact than a second Offa stint would have.

Moretti also only had 16mins (first game back from injury) and Sam T only 22mins (par for the course). So a lot of big efforts/minutes spread among the broader pack yesterday.
