The Roosters will be cautious but confident. However, we have much better form than they do. They lost their first two games then had training runs against nuffies. We've been consistent and have just had two solid workouts against Manly and Penrith (and won both). With 20 minutes to go in the game, Easts will be shitting themselves. Parra by ten. Ryan Matterson to have a blinder. Go Parra!

I should know better by now, being an Eels fan, to not be quietly confident.

But the way we played for 80 minutes against Manly, Penrith, Gold Coast, and the Dogs, has me confident.

This is is boys. The most important game since 2009.

I've followed Parra for 10+ years as my dad decided they were his team after nearly signing with Souths. They won 4 in the 80's, he is now 70.

If we ever going to win a prem, we win this game. But, I can't see it. We just aren't as clinical as the f**king Roosters.

As much as it is a dagger to my heart, my dad will die before seeing Parra wining a comp - even one people say doesn't matter due to Covid.

Our bench needs to pull their fingers out this week. If they play soft like last week and we drop in intensity, they’ll put a length on us early in the second half.

As much as I hate to disagree with merkins, I must disagree with this. This game is only meaningful for us if we get flogged. It will mean we're still pretenders. If we win or lose in a narrow one it will mean f**k all at this time of the year.

If we somehow belt the Roosters it will say more about them than us, and will probably mean that they've come back to the pack, as you'd expect after losing Cronk and Mitchell.

Actually, I think this years premiership will mean more than most. Teams will have faced many more challenges this year - both psychological and physical. Whoever wins the COVID premiership will well and truly deserve it.
Also, did your dad play for Parramatta?
