I just wanted to say, although small sample size, moses is better without guth. He now pops up everywhere whereas guth would take more control and the ball

Not sure about that

Think its more we completed high (almost 90%)
and only 7 errors all game, usually we are about double this

Which gives the HB more ball, but also more ball with more time

Could also argue , if we have Gutho do we carve them up the middle more often, with their forwards more fatigued due to our ball control?

Like you said small sample, all will be revealed next few games

I think moses needs to be more dominant than he was in the past for parra to go up a level

He needed to be a 100% halfback who plays everywhere like cleary, Cronk and Thurston did . Not the split halves way which he was say last year or the year before.

I felt guth and ba gameplan is what prevented him from achieving that

Now both are gone, he has the freedom to do what he thinks is right as it is now his team

I’m a bit late on this but….

What a great f**ken win that was. Had me in the edge of my seat down here at Club Narooma. Had a bunch of other Parra fans at the RSL watching around me which made it even better.

Seriously though, that ref was f**ken awful. I don’t understand either of the sin bins for our team. Wests had some awful calls go against them as well, to be honest. I see he got dropped for next weekend, but what about the bunker ref who had a hand in many of those calls?

Adam Gee I am sure is still getting a game this weekend the special needs ref is now in the bunker for the Tigers game 😂

The Tigers get Atkins Badger and Special needs this weekend. The NRL must really hate them

Honestly, those refs are shit…but which refs are actually good?

Gone are the days when you had blokes like Bill Harrigan and Tim Mander, refs you knew where good at their job despite occasional f**k ups (Harrigan’s late penalty against Balmain in the 1989 GF one of the biggest blunders of all time).

I’ve been fine with the reffing. The 10 in the bin was rough on Moretti but they always look to send 2 off together. Other than that it was fine.

Billy Harrigan ego's was his biggest problem.

He still reckons he was in the right when he screwed us over in Newcastle back in 2002.

You know what was good about both of them? They were consistent with their calls each week.

just to highlight the impact of Moses

the second set of the game, we receive the kick off after taking the 2 from a penalty, poole head high on paulo. Every hit up in the set of six we run one out and get dominated in each collision. Paulo, Kelma, Hopgood, Williams, then Iongi. A bit of a bludger of a set. We get to our 35 and moses puts in the kick, lands it on the tigers 5m. our chase meets the tigers at their 20m. then unfortunately we give away a penalty.

The moses kicking game is hardly new news for anyone round here. But jeez, if we can play with some decent defense and discipline. high completion rate etc we can make a good dent in this competition. we dont need agro forwards trying to take peoples heads off, we dont needs BAs size queens in the pack. We just gotta chase and tackle.
