I thought our attack was pretty ordinary. I don't think we showed a lot tbh. Newcastle defense was just garbage. Some of those tries where horrible.

Against a good side that type of attack gets you nothing. Our defense however was good. We wore them down.

For mine Mahoney and Matterson where the stars of the show. Moses also went well and I thought Makatoa was solid today.

Guthersons form is a worry. He doesn't look right to me.

Simmonsons defense I do like. He reads the plays well and going ok. Not spectacular but ok.

JA offered little.....He missed tackles, a poor kick,forward pass.....I know we are under an injury crisis but he isn't NRL level. After watching NSW CUP I'd rather Hands or Yates pushed into the squad as a utility. Perham also offers more.

He is a rock at the back. Not a star but the safest fullback in the NRL.

i think our attack was fine everyone saw last week how impatient we were. We played simple up the guts footy and scored basically 40 points.

Newcastle were garbage but thats all we needed to do without any sweat.

I don't like the look of him either. What did he do today that Bryce couldnt? He shouldn't be in our top 30 from what I have seen.
From my limited view of NSW CUP Rankin,Hands and Yates are superior.

When a guys on 800k I expect far more then a rock at the back. I expect someone contributing in attack and often. Asking questions and be dangerous.
I think he is saf sure but the rest of his games been garbage.

We're certainly not in great form, and seem to be just running through the motions at this point.

Sometimes it's enough. Like Arthur's said, if you control the ball and chase the collision you put yourself in a position to win. Sometimes the score will blow out and sometimes it won't, but the two points is what matters. Today we got the points but the scoreline also blew out. The top sides do it as well, but the score blows out more often for them.

I'm glad our defence was better today. Drown and Penisini are better defenders than Opacic and Niukore, that's for sure.
