I thought our attack was pretty ordinary. I don't think we showed a lot tbh. Newcastle defense was just garbage. Some of those tries where horrible.

Against a good side that type of attack gets you nothing. Our defense however was good. We wore them down.

For mine Mahoney and Matterson where the stars of the show. Moses also went well and I thought Makatoa was solid today.

Guthersons form is a worry. He doesn't look right to me.

Simmonsons defense I do like. He reads the plays well and going ok. Not spectacular but ok.

JA offered little.....He missed tackles, a poor kick, forward pass.....I know we are under an injury crisis but he isn't NRL level. After watching NSW CUP I'd rather Hands or Yates pushed into the squad as a utility. Perham also offers more.
The Knights were fkn awful.

I'm not sure he's even backup level. He's slow, has average defence, can't pass great and his kicking is rubbish. He's park football level in my view.
There is no doubt that if he wasn’t the coach’s son he would be nowhere near first grade. We would have kept Salmon who is a much better player and has more upside however he wouldn’t be on as much as Salmon. He’d be lucky to be on min wage.

He did his job today however I think he would be better off trying to get a gig at another club but would any other team take him in their top 30? I doubt it which is why his inclusion reeks of nepotism.

If you change his surname, he is a 19 year old, who is the last recognised uninjured back in our squad and has been called in to do a job when we were desperate. How did he go?

One poor kick, a forward pass, a hospital pass to N.Brown and 4 or 5 missed tackles.....

One good kick.... I felt like he was ordinary as could be.

From what I seen he shouldn't even be our back up half or in the top 30. Honestly id rather Rankin if we did lose Brown or Moses.

In all honesty. F**ken terrible. Do we really not have any other halves at the club that should be ahead of him?

I suppose this is sarcasm pointing out that he at least isn't getting in the road. But he is by way of Dylan Brown not getting as involved as he otherwise would.
He made 3 runs and Drown made 12 for 126m, 6 tackle breaks, a line break and a try. That's the right amount. Drown doesn't need more ball, he needs better ball.

Hands and Rankin look better........ He never should of been put into the top 30 and our back up half. Should be back in jersey flegg playing with 20ylds.
I hear great things about Hands and Yates which is why the loss of Mahoney will be somewhat softened in 2023.
