Fairly even first 20mins - disappointing drop on the high ball for Broncos' first try, Russell needs to work on that so he doesn't become an unplayable Waqa vulnerability.

Good blindside move by Parra to hit back - Brown and Guth have clearly practiced that, and did well to pick when the Brisbane fullback was up in the line.

But then the game started to turn as Broncos made easy yards up the middle. Hodgson missed Cobbo twice in the run before the next Brisbane try, and was rightly replaced by Hands soon after.

But on a hot night we still had RCG doing too many minutes without a break, our markers (Moses and one other) were not tracking back and the Broncos took their chances running it on the last for a try.

Then the next abomination try was entirely on Gutherson - lazy fullback play to allow that bat back, and great Broncos kick chase.

And as I type Brisbane goes in for another one off a short kick - Sivo and Gutherson caught out slow to adjust to the kick, and again a fantastic kick chase.

22-6 and looking shot - we'll be doing well to keep it below 50 if Brisbane keep playing with this confidence.

BA was part of the recruitment decision to bring him over on good coin so feels he needs to justify that decision rather than doing what’s best for the team. It’s much like how his son played so much first grade last year.
