Had plenty of ball and good opportunities, so we really needed that try late in the half from Fox.

Sharks defence to their credit has been strong though.

Our defence looks very fragile though and like it could let in easy points when pressured.

Heaps of our players being called out for offside or not square.

But, at the present time, we're close enough if we're good enough.

I think going in at 6-6, I could have seen us winning, but I really feel we need to work some of the rust out of our attack. Disappointing given I don't rate the Sharks.

Winner or lose, that's the effort we need every week, every half, do that we win a few...

just need to cut out a few penalties getting sharks out of trouble. And nothing stupid defending our line (cough Brown).

Straighten up the attack a little, we have points (leading line breaks 3 to 2).

We can win this, but continue this effort, and it's something to build on.

Tough game. We’re trying a few more offloads and Jnr dumping it out the back, so I won’t be too critical. Sharks have defended well also.
We’re in it but we can’t let them into our 20, we just don’t defend well enough close to our line.

I’ve looked for a reason to not like Russel’s involvement tonight but I can’t. He’s a bit Joel Readyish. Tries his butt off. Probably deserves his spot on effort alone.

Or an elite centre...either will do..... Russell, does a good job (reflects his contract). But he has had a few half chances, which I think an elite centre may finish or get it to the winger....
