If we have to pay Moses $1m and Dyl $800k for their next contracts then so be it. Then in 3 years Dyl may be ready to be the next superstar and move into the $m club and we move Moses on.

it seems we won’t be heavily investing in an expensive 9 for the next season or two with Reed going.

Gutho $750k
Dyl $800k
Moses $1m
Rein/Hands/? $250k

is probably fairly on par on what you’d spend on your spine.
We also have probably a fair bit tied up in jnr and rcg

We may be able to get Dylan for $700k....just depends how other cards fall I guess.

Agreed. But last week it was all like 'the club knows he's not a first grader'. There's no f**ken nuance on this forum sometimes.
I don't think it was anyone other than me that mentioned the clubs view of Perham as a first grader. And unless you would pick him in your top 17 with your full squad available, he isnt a first grader, he is a backup or depth. Just like how we are using him.

Who knows what will happen in the halves. Id rather keep D.Brown then Moses however. If we kept Moses then Guth would be a good partner. Unsure Guth works with Brown.
Arthurs would work better with Brown then moses
Because Brown and Gutho can cover for Moses’s huge boot ? The only reason we were competitive v Pennys was Mitch kicking from 30m off our try line to 20m from their try line.

It wasn’t too long ago when Luke Kelly was kicking us out of trouble and it would land on the half way line.

Looking through my google news feed and there is plenty of talk about Reed’s penalty try and nothing about the Kikau howler.

What’s the mindset of these journos ? To focus on a player tackled without the ball and debating if that action cock-blocked his go foward by a foot or that all the officials missed an obvious fumble that led to a try ?

i have seen a little bit of coverage of the kikau incident but more on nine-related sites than fox
JT went off about it during the call

Given what you know about the salary cap, how much is Matterson worth on the open market?

Excellent question.

I'd say he'd probably be worth a little more than Papali'i, given his superior defence, abs ability to play multiple positions well.

I would hazard a guess that he might be able to command somewhere between $500,000 to $550,000; whether we can match that, though...

From what I've seen, they're mostly bitching because it wasn't a foregone conclusion that Reed would definitely have scored - therefore, he cannot be awarded a penalty try.

But you're right - they conveniently ignore that blatant knock-on which lead to their try.

So, take one try apiece off each team - we still win on goal-kicking!

Jt said that if he was in the parra team, he would've preferred salmon to be off for 15 mins that the penalty try.

We wouldve had another set against 12 players and would've drained more out of them and probably score later

They were drained. Yeoh don't drop balls like that.

We showed the others how to beat them

BTW, the fish was quiet for mine
