I thought we were done at that point. We looked so flat I thought maybe Darwin fatigue, but obviously I was off my rocker.

Well Penrith like to control possession for the same reason; because they can’t maintain that defensive intensity for too long. Most teams play into their hands by panicking when they’re getting smashed and turning over possession. The way to compete is to take your licks. Accept you’ll get smashed and complete your sets. Then they have to do more defending and they end up slowing down.

Frankly, in games between teams that are reasonably matched, a lot comes down to luck on the day. Yesterday I think the luck evened itself out (the bounce of the ball for the match winning try, the penalty try, the Kikau farce). But you don't need much to go wrong to get a very different result (either way).

I was never much of a watcher of that franchise but that version seemed more ridiculous than usual. Even the name ffs. But I hear he had a cute bum in NYPD Blue.

I rate Moses. Has a very good kicking game.
Where is he against other halfbacks? Up there.
I think problem is he can be weak defense and goes missing in attack at times.

On form I reckon Ben Hunt is going just about the best of all of them. Playing great footy.

I would temper your enthusiasm for re-signing Matto at all costs by asking, why are we only seeing these performances now, and where were they in 2020 and 2021? Don't get me wrong, he hasn't been terrible, but I feel like he has coasted a bit in the past, plus he's had his issues with concussion which has kept him out of a lot of games.

Maybe the Dogs or the Knights will make room to make an offer we don't want to match, but I wouldn't be upping whatever he's currently on by much, slight increase perhaps but negligible all the same. I don't think on the whole he has provided full value for money over the course of his deal with us...

He's been constantly defending like a rep forward, leading our offload counts, and making 100m+ off the bench - only difference is now he's scoring tries, as well.

Plus, he's obviously been told to stay in the middle, rather than drifting between edge, and middle forward.

Lastly, he's finally healthy - those concussion issues took a lot out of him.

I'm not saying we pay him whatever it takes to keep him, but at the very least, we should be making him an offer to stay imo.

Going off the past week.

If JA is kept ahead of Brown or moses there will a riot down church street at Parramatta leagues.

A couple of observations after last nights game. BA waiting to greet his team individually. His "hug" with Bryce seemed quite withheld.
Massive excitement amongst all the boys in the shed all engaging with each other except young Jake who was playing with his phone even though BA said "he dosent do social media". Maybe texting his g/f? Maybe poor timing.
Anyway whatever!
