To be fair, I think Brown made the right call - Pearce was on his way to cover Sivo, and Brown probably thought the safest option was to go back inside.

I think he would have been better off just dying with the ball, rather than trying to force a pass to Gutho.
Yep. Taking the tackle was best in that situation. Drown has otherwise been poor just through failing to take control.

It was a great, legal hit - I just don't understand why they're talking about it like it was a dog shot...

I never like to see players injured, but that hit would have rattled most players, and that in itself does not make it an illegal play.

BTW, in the Roosters game the other night, the commentators repeatedly mentioned how many players they were missing and how great they were under such adversity. We are badly missing Moses.
