So far, as predicted in the off-season - I've been nothing but right about these two. They are both incompetent when it comes to anything but running the ball. And we have Taumata sitting on the sidelines who is ten times the runner.
I'm on the dosage? You said Moltzen was being a spastic girl on purpose. He is a spastic girl on the football field you nincompoop.
Don't think I've been called a nincompoop since the 3rd Grade.
To clarify, I never called Moltzen a 'spastic girl' (predjudice against the handicapped and sexism combined - what the hell's wrong with you?).
What I
did say was that I thought that Moltzen might be dogging it at fullback. 'Dogging it' is derisive American slang for a gutless poker move - it means bailing out of committment in the clutch - and has been appropriated by other sports such as NFL and NBL with regard to talented, high price players who mysteriously don't put in on game day.
Watching the Easts game there seemed to be something very wrong with his headspace. My reading of it was that he didn't really want to be there, hence the comment.
Disagree totally that he is on a par with Lui. Whenever he stands in the line (usually by default) he looks creative and dangerous (particularly when he gets it at 1st receiver). Disagree also that he lacks courage.
As to Sheens' mystifying comment that he doesn't need another playmaker in the line - by that rationalle, given that Marshall and Farrah were both available in 2005, Scott Prince would have been superfluous.
Some logic eh?
Friday night should be a good test. Centrebet have Wests at $2.50 and the market could drift even further. Interesting.
Gibbs, Payten and (hopefully) Fulton return so no real excuses up front. Wouldn't mind seeing Cayless dropped but that won't happen. If they can shut down the offloads there is no question that they can win. Fittness is not a problem. The Manly game was probably the most brutal 1st round encounter I've seen and they hung in there superbly. Parramatta on the other hand don't look as well conditioned (eg - Fui looks more than a few degrees away from showroom as do a few others).
Predicting Moltzen to step up and fire.
Should I be wrong, have no problem whatsoever in you quoting me verbatim on my pre-game wisdom (just don't call me a spastic OK?)
Peace,
Jase
